I open the attic door and step into the room.  It was very dusty. I don't think anyone has been up here in years! Slowly, making sure I don't trip over anything, I walk over to the first pile of stuff. It's a pile of books. I go through the pile, stacking the books I want to keep next to me. Ironically, a lot of them are about Russia.

There was one about the Romanov royal family, another about Peter Carl Faberge and his creations. I kept both of those as well as many others. I want to learn about my homeland. After going through the pile of books, I stack the ones I want next to the door, before I move on to the next pile of stuff. This one is a small pile of family albums.

I immediately collect all of them and moved them to my KEEP pile. I move on to the next pile. It is a collection of old chests, probably containing old family items. The first chest contains old clothing. The next one also contains clothing, but the clothes are covered with an old blanket, that I quickly take off of them. The clothing looks like it is of better quality than the first chest.

There are a couple dresses that look like they are made of expensive material, for instance velvet, satin, and silk. One of the silk dresses has a bunch of hard objects down into the bodice. I move that chest of clothing over to the door to inspect later. The last chest I look at is small. It belonged to my great-grandmother. It is also locked. I search the attic until I find the small bronze key that unlocks it. It was hidden in a lamp shade. I wonder why?

 I wonder why?

I unlock the chest and lift the lid. I gasp. Why are there so many coincidences right now? Inside, there are three faberge eggs. One is gold, and has pictures of people all over it. When I open it up, there is a small globe of the world inside.

The next one is silver and the top is a bouquet of different types of jeweled flowers

I close the eggs, making sure that their contents are inside. Then, I put them back in the chest and lock it. I quickly carry the chest to my room. I open the chest my stranger gave me, and I put the small chest inside. I put it's key on my necklace, and then I close the main chest and lock it.

I push the chest under my bed before going back up to the attic to bring my other items down. I put the clothing chest under the bed as well. Then I grab my new Faberge book and begin to look for the eggs inside it.

The one with the pictures is the Romanov tercentenary egg. The flowered one is the Basket of Flowers egg. The royal blue one is the Twelve Monograms egg. How did Babushka get all of these? They belonged to the Romanov family! Then, I pull out the book on the Romanov family and begin to read.
