James was dumbfounded upon hearing a hysterical Nanay Mary on the other line.
"Please James, can you check kung tutoo yung call. Lahat ng description pati plate number ng kotse tugma. Pero sa Friday pa ang uwi ni Daniella di ba. Impossibleng siya yung naaksidente" Nanay Mary exclaimed
"Tita puntahan ko na po agad yung hospital. Ngayon na po." James said running to the parking lot.
"Paluwas na rin kami, ang lakas kasi ng kabog ng dibdib ko. Tawagan mo ako agad James. Please lang" Nanay Mary begs.
"Opo Tita, tatawagan ko po kayo agad" James said.
James drives going to QCGH uttering a prayer that the call which Nanay Mary have received is just a prank call. But he knew in his heart that there is a high possibility that the news is true. When he arrives at the hospital he immediately checks on the information section about the accident. He was told to proceed to the emergency room. There he confirms that the call isn't a prank.
Dani was in the emergency room being treated by several doctors and nurses. He quickly approaches one of the nurses attending to Dani.
"Nurse yung patient dun sa dulo, yung naaksidente. Girlfriend ko. Kamusta sya? Anong lagay nya?" He asked
"Sir, si dok na lang po ang kakausap sa inyo maya maya. Unconcious pa po kasi yung patient. Pasensya na po, pinapahanda na po kasi ni Doc yung O.R" the nurse said
"Sandali, anong ibig mong sabihin?" James asked again
"Pasensya na po talaga sir, kay dok na lang po mamaya. Nagmamadali lang po ako" the nurse replied and James got no other choice but to wait. He choose to call Nanay Mary to confirm the news.
"Tita, si Dani nga po yung naaksidente" he said
"Paanong nangyari na nakauwi sya ng Pilipinas na hindi natin alam? Kamusta ang lagay ng anak ko James?" Nanay Mary exclaimed
"Hinihintay ko pa po yung doktor. Ginagamot pa po sya eh" James said
"O sige, please James wag mong iiwan ang anak ko. Papunta na kami dyan" Nanay Mary said then hangs up.
As James watches Dani being treated he continuously uttered the words "Please fight bibi girl. Don't do this to us. Wag mong gagawin 'to sa kin please"
After a few minutes one of the doctors step out of the emergency room and talk to James.
"Ikaw ba yung kamag-anak nung naaksidenteng pasyente?" The doctor asked
"Boyfriend po nya ako" James replied
"Wala ba syang ibang kamag anak maliban sa yo?" The doctor asked
"Papunta na po dito yung parents nya. Kamusta na po sya Dok?" James asked
"She is still unconcious maybe because malakas ang pagkakatama nung ulo nya sa isang matigas na bagay. Mukhang the seat belt was not properly puts on" the doctor explained. "We are preparing her for an operation because of a broken bone sa left arm"
"Doc do everything that you can na walang mangyaring masama sa kanya please " James pleaded
"Yes we will. That's our job. Let's pray for her" the doctor said tapping his shoulder.
Dani were alredy in the operating room when her parents arrives.
"James, bakit nasa operating room si Dani?" Nanay Mary asked
