After the movie, James prefers to be a little picky on the projects that he accepts. For the meantime, he only does mall shows, endorsements and TV guestings for him to be at least visible in the industry while he busied himself on putting up a business when he got a nod from Dani.
He even enrolled himself into short courses on business management to be able to fully understand his new venture. His Dad helped him with the basic of putting up a food business. Mommy Rio was so excited in the concept of showcasing her paella dish. Nanay Mary assists James in meeting some suppliers for those delicacies that will be sold in his restaurant. Both Esteban and Dayao family work hand in hand for James new business.
It took them months before the construction of the new restaurant started. James and Dani finds time to communicate daily even at least for a glance since James started attending those business management short courses.
“Bibi girl, sa Laguna ako uuwi. I need to go to Tagaytay to meet the suppliers” James said over the phone.
“Sige, it would be better kung dun ka na manggagaling, short travel na lang” Dani replied
“What time ang flight mo bukas?” he asked
“4pm pa naman. I will still report for work in the morning. Siguro we will leave by lunch time” Dani said
“Hintayin mo na lang kaya ako para ako na lang ang maghahatid sa inyo ni Victoria sa airport. I’m sure the meeting will be done by 10am” James suggested.
“Wag na bibi boy. Malulungkot lang ako pag ikaw pa ang naghatid sa amin. I will miss you” Dani said.
“I will miss you more. Hanggang three days lang ang kaya kong malayo ka. Bakit ba kasi ikaw ang sasama kay Victoria sa training? Dapat si Matthew na lang, malay mo since two weeks silang magkasama baka matouch ni Victoria ang masculine side ni Matthew at pagbalik nila dito eh biglang sila na” James said.
“Hindi nga pwede si Matthew di ba kasi kakagaling lang sa sakit” Dani replied
“Ang tagal kasi ng two weeks bibi girl” James complained
“Wag nang magreklamo hindi naman parating ganito” Dani said
“Hindi naman ako papayag na ganyan palagi” James replied “Take all the time that you want bibi girl, dahil pag kinasal na tayo hindi na pwede yan” he said.
“I need to hang up now bibi boy, hindi pa ako tapos magpack. I’ll call you early tomorrow. Goodnight bibi boy ko” Dani said.
“Goodnight bibi girl ko. I love you” he said in reply
“Ako rin” she said and hangs up
James felt her awkwardness when he started talking about settling down and it worries him. He knows Dani’s apprehensions about being engaged. She may not be aware of it and he knows that it is not about her doubting his love for her but the probable occurance of another failed engagement.
James has been thinking about Dani’s fears, it has been bugging him since Matthew told him about it. His main reason why he decided to reveal the relationship is his plan to propose. So he seeks help from Matthew to know how he will execute his proposal. But Dani’s fear of getting engaged makes him stepped back and goes back to the drawing board to plan more carefully. He needs to wait a little more time for him not to fail and he should not fail.

Since Dani will be out of the country for two weeks James took the opportunity to concentrate on the construction of his restaurant business and he was able to let a week pass with Dani only via facetime and skype. He prefes to go home to Laguna instead of staying in the condo to avoid missing his bibi girl more.
“Hi Mom, good morning. Where’s Dad?” James greeted Mommy Rio having breakfast in the garden
“Kakaalis lang. You were home late last night, dumaan ka ba sa condo?” Mommy Rio asked
“Nope, ginabi na yung meeting namin ni Tita Girlie with the new endorser” James replied
“Wow, bagong blessing yan anak” Mommy Rio said
“Yeah, pangdagdag puhunan sa negosyo” James replied chuckling
“How was the construction? Yung mga suppliers ok na ba?” Mommy Rio asked
“Yung supplier para sa Bulacan Delicacies I think nakausap na ni Tita Mary” James said “How about the Chef Mom, nakapili ka na ba?” James asked.
“Not yet, I'm still waiting for two more. Recommended by my friend” Mommy Rio replied “Don’t worry, I’ll make sure to hire a good one in time for the opening” she added.
“Thanks for helping Mom, siguro kung wala kayo ni Tita Mary malamang nagkagulo na ang business venture na ‘to.” James said
“You’re welcome son. I’m so glad I was able to help you” Mommy Rio said
“Yung proposal na lang” James said
“Don’t worry me and Mareng Mary got it covered. Your Tita Girlie is also helping us” Mommy Rio said.
“I cannot fail Mom. I should not fail” James said
“Don’t worry son, you won’t. Saan ka naman nakakita na buong pamilya ang ka-tandem mo sa proposal mo?” Mommy Rio said laughing
“I know, kaya nga sobrang swerte ko” James said
“By the way, I had a visitor earlier” Mommy Rio said.
“Talaga? Sino?” James asked
“Si Jenny” Mommy Rio said
"What is she doing here?" James asked with a blank face.
"Just to visit. Tinanong kung magaling na daw ba ako. I said alive and kicking still" Mommy Rio replied. "She was looking for you, she asked if possible daw ba na makausap ka nya"
"What for? We have nothing to talk about" James replied.
"Maybe it would be better for the two of you to talk. Mas mabuti na yung alam mo sa sarili mo kung ano at sino talaga ang gusto mo. At least do before you propose to Dani" Mommy Rio suggested.
"She has nothing to do with my proposal to Dani, Mom" James said
"I know but as a woman myself, I would want my fiancee to be clear about whatever past he had" Mommy Rio said "Admit it James. Wala kayong closure ni Jenny"
"When she ignores my calls and email messages that was the end of it." James said "Before she leaves nagkausap naman na rin kami. Therefore, wala na kaming dapat pag usapan pa"
"I would suggest if you still talk to her for old time sake. Hindi rin naman biro ang pinagdaanan nyo" Mommy Rio said
"Bahala na po" James said.
"She'll be leaving in three days. Message ka na lang daw nya sa social media account mo. I did not gave her your number" Mommy Rio said.
"Thanks Mom. Bahala na po" James said
