Twenty Seventh

James drives home that night. He was too overwhelmed that he lets Kuya Eric to just go home and rest.  He could not sleep on his way anyway since he has mixed emotions.  He was too happy that finally Dani is now his girlfriend but a bit depressed because she requested to keep the relationship a secret for now. Though he truly understands he could not help but be sad.  He wanted to introduce her to his friends but he knows that Dani will not like that also, he promised her that he will not force her to embrace his world just to please him. He will adjust as promised to her.

Today is one of the happiest days of his life.  Now he prays that this relationship would strenghten until the end.  Yes, he is expecting a lot of challenges due to the different world they are into right now, but he is determined to work on it to the best way he can.  Earlier Dani says she is willing to loose a lot for him but on his part, he is willing to loose everything for her.

He widely smiled when he recalled that he was not able to control himself in kissing Dani on her lips when she finally said yes. 

"Ang bilis nun ha!" Dani exclaimed

"Sorry, I was not able to control myself now.  Ang tagal ko kayang hinintay yan" he said

"Madaya ka" Dani said and he got a small pinch at his right arm

"Ouch, wala pang isang oras mo akong boyfriend nanakit ka na agad" he jokingly complained

"Eh kasi nga madaya ka" Dani said

"I love you" he said to her.  "Do I need to respond the same?" she asked him

He smiled and said "Only if you mean it. You do not have to do things that I do.  I will not force you to do things you are not comfortable of doing just to please me. I would appreaciate if it comes from the heart" He said

"I have some rules" she said

"Go ahead, I am listening" he replied smiling

"First, no dating in a crowded place.  Second, no social media post about us.  Let's keep this relationship as private as we can." she said

"We are keeping this a secret?" he asked

"Not to our family members and maybe to some really closed friends as long as they can keep their mouth shut" she said "Third,  I will allow you to comment but I will still have the last say on what I will wear.  And fourth, we have to respect each other's space" she added

"That's all?" he asked then she nodded. "Unless you want to add some more" she said

"I don't have anything to add, but I have a request" he said

"What is it?" she asked.  

"The spare key of this unit" he said scratching his head

"Kakasabi ko lang ng rule no. 4 respect to each other's space" she said as her eyes widen

"I know and I have no intentions of breaking that rule. I still remember your rule about going inside your room. That is your space.  But the living room, the kitchen, the terrace, these are our place. Since we could not date in a crowded place, we might as well stay here" he said. 

"But you have to promise me that you will tell me first if you are to use my key" she demanded.

"Eh paano if I want to set-up a surprise?" he asked

"You still need to tell me" she firmly said which makes him pouted. "Alright, a surprise is an exemption"

"Why no social media post?" he asked seriously

"Eh di ba, 'As private as we can' nga eh" she said pouting

"What if I have a really private social media account, pwede na ba dun? You can follow me if you like" James said

"You do? Bakit meron ka nun, sino mga follower mo?" she surprisely asked

"If you follow me, you'll be my first follower" he replied smiling

"Why did you create another account? Stalker ka no!" she exclaimed

"I am not ...." He denied but eventually decided to tell her the truth "Well sort of .... Hindi mo kasi ako pinapansin nung una eh kaya nag create ako ng bagong account to check on you, to more know more of you.  I avoid following you using my account kasi malamang hindi lang ako ang magiging stalker mo. My fans will be interested on you if I follow you, much more of my bashers, hindi ka titigilan ng mga yun for sure" he explained which gains him a smack on his lips from her.

"Madaya ka rin pala eh, hindi ka nagpapaalam" he kids

"That's what you get whenever you make me happy.  Thank you for protecting me"she said beaming.

"Seriously?" he asked and she nodded smiling "Then brace yourself, because I intend to make you happy every single day of your life" he declared

"I promise to protect you love, the best way I can" he vowed

"What did you just call me?" she asked

"Love" he replied and he sees how awkward she becomes.  "But, it is alright if you do not call me the same. Promise Ok lang talaga" he swears.

"Like what I have said earlier, you do not need to do things that I do to you, no need to reciprocate.  I am doing and will do those things because I want to do it. Gusto ko ganon ka rin, do things for me only if you mean it.  Not because gusto ko but because gusto mo. Do I made myself clear?" he asked

"Thank you James" she said and he again gain a peck on his cheek

"Masarap ka pala talagang natutuwa"he said chuckling

"Sira ka!" she coyly said.  "Matagal na dahil po sa yo" he replied

"Cheesy huh, uwi ka na nga, masyado kang gagabihin" she ordered him

"Ouch, pinapaalis mo na ako.  Ang sakit naman nun, mas masakit pa kesa dun sa kurot kanina" he kids

"Ang arte mo" she replied laughing "Gabi na kasi, mga an hour travel ka pa eh. Tawagan mo na si kuya Eric" she explained

"That's more like it, mas malambing mas masaya, mas nakakakilig" he said smiling "Sige na nga, uuwi na 'ko" he said "Pero teka lang pala, may nakalimutan ako, two things" he said

"Ano naman yun?" she asked

"Where is the spare key?" he asked. "Grabe hindi talaga nakalimutan" she said and went inside her room to get her key.  When she comes back, he's beaming largely as she handed her the key to her front door.

"Bakit isa lang? Nasaan yung sa terrace? Yung sa bathroom?" he jokingly asked

"Wag kang abusado kung ayaw mong bawiin ko yan" she exclaimed.  "Ok this will do" he said

"And what is the other one?" she asked. He pull her towards him and they sat on the La-Z-Boy

"Let's have a selfie" he said then he took a picture of them "Our first ever picture together, finally nakapagpa-picture ka na rin sa akin, isn't that wonderful?" he said and she gave him a sharp gaze.  "Joke lang, finally nakapagpa-picture na rin ako sa yo" he said redeeming himself 

She handed him her phone "Bluetooth mo sa akin" she said and he gladly did.
