James found his parents chatting when he gets home. They noticed a different aura of their son as soon as he enters the main door.

"Where is Eric? Bakit ikaw ang nagdrive? Hindi ka ba pagod?" Mommy Rio asked

"Ibinaba ko na lang si Kuya Eric sa Alabang para makauwi na sya at makapagpahinga. Late na masyado syang makakauwi kung ihahatid pa nya ako dito sa Laguna" James explained

"How come it took you almost ten hours to get home from the airport? Ganoon na ba katagal ang byahe mula airport hanggang Laguna" Daddy Richard said teasing

"Dumaan pa ako sa studio Dad" James explained then kissed his Mom and Dad "May bagong movie project daw eh"

"Wow congrats, another blessing son" Mommy Rio said

"Thanks Mom, but it is not yet final. Nabanggit pa lang naman, kaya daw hindi pinayagan yung series of shows abroad, uunahin daw 'tong movie" he explained

"Don't work too much naman iho, parang mag-aasawa ka na kung kumayod ka eh" Daddy Richard said "May savings and investment ka naman na also tapos naman na si Rizza, so pwede na sigurong hinay hinay na muna"

"Malay mo naman Dad soon" James happily replied

"And what do you mean by that son?" Mommy Rio asked

"Sinagot na ako ni Dani" he said bragging. "Whhooooaaaa, Congrats Anak!" Daddy Richard said

"Mas good news yan kesa sa bagong movie project" Mommy said then she hugs James.

"Tama si Mommy mo, malapit na kaming mamanhikan. Kelan ang kasal?" Daddy Richard said.

"Kasal agad? Wala pa pong twenty four hours ko syang girlfriend. Teka lang po Dad baka mahimatay si Dani. Darating po ako dyan, sooner than you expected" James replied with eyes glowing.

"Hindi ka pa ba nagpropose" Daddy Richard asked. "Mom, ano ba sinabi mo kay Dad? Girlfriend pa lang po Dad, darating po ako dyan" James replied.

"Binibiro ka lang ng Daddy mo" Mommy Rio said "I'm so happy for you anak. So ibig sabihin ba nyan, meron ka nang date sa birthday ko?" she asked

"Not possible Mom, she wants to keep the relationship secret muna. And I agreed" James said which saddened Mommy Rio. "Dani is not used to the circle I am in now, ayokong maculture shock sya. I want this relationship to last Mom and if keeping it a secret would help me achieve that then we will keep it a secret." James stated.

"Kelan namin sya makikilala?" Daddy Richard asked

"Maybe after Mom's birthday, let's just have a quiet dinner. Sa party mo kasi Mommy, maraming makakakita kay Dani. I would like to protect her kahit sa relatives natin" James said

"Alright son, if you say so" Mommy Rio said.

"I'm sorry Mom, please wag sasama loob mo sa akin" James said

"Of course son, I truly understand. Maybe keeping it a secret is the best way to protect the relationship now" Mommy Rio said

"Thanks, Mom for understanding. I love you" James replied

"I love you too son, now go and get some rest" she said. James kissed Daddy Richard and Mommy Rio goodnight before he headed to his room.

"I know you, you are cooking something in your mind" Daddy Richard told Mommy Rio

"They want to keep it a secret, therefore, he will not invite her to my party. How about keeping it a secret and still invite her as my guest and not my son's guest" Mommy Rio
