Investments for Love (Completed)

James was already wrapping up for the last take.  "Hay salamat pack up na after this take" he said to himself.  “Grabe, more than 24 hours na akong gising”

Yes, James has been awake for more than twenty four hours because after the TVC shoot he headed to his teleserye taping which was a bit delayed because of the heavy rain. 

After a long hours of work James finally got the signal to pack up.  Lizzie was gathering their things when Girlie called “Tapos na ba kayo?” she asked

“Pauwi na ako Tita Girlie, I need a warm bath, grabe wala pa akong tulog. Kahapon pa ako gising.  Bakit ka napatawag?”

“Hindi pumayag ang management sa series of shows abroad.  Last quarter of this year na lang daw gawin yun.  Uunahin mo yung movie.” Girlie said from the other line

“Tinanong mo pa ako kahapon, eh kayo rin naman pala ang masusunod” James frustratedly said

“Hold on to that frustration baby boy, because there’s more” Girlie said

“Ha, ano na naman yun?” James started to get pissed off

“The movie will be the launch of your love team” Girlie drop the bomb

“What? You know that I don’t like love teams.  A leading lady would be fine but please not a love team. Ano ba naman Tita Girlie” James protested

“Well I am just telling you management’s decision” Girlie said

“Pwede bang matulog muna ako, baka mamaya paggising ko iba na ang sasabihin mo” James said

“Alright, but make sure that you’ll be up by 3:00 pm.  Remember I already set a 4:30pm  appointment para dun sa Account Manager na maghahandle ng funds mo” Girlie reminded

“Patulugin mo muna ako Tita Girlie please” James begged

“O sige na nga, I’ll be on your place at around 3:00 pm para sa appointment mo” Girlie said and hangs the phone.

“Matagal ka pa ba Lizzie? Halos apat na oras na lang ang itutulog ko” James said with a very irritated tone.  “Hindi ako kaaway mo, wag ako ang pagalitan mo” Lizzie answers back

“Tara na kanina pa ako tapos magligpit ikaw na lang ang hinihintay kong matapos sa pagtetelepono mo”

While in Dani’s office, she and Matthew were discussing about work when her phone rang.

She immediately answered it “Good afternoon sir. …. No problem sir, I’ll just wait for your friend.  Thank you very much for the recommendation sir” she said and hangs the phone.  Matthew looked at her as she has a wide beam after the phone call.

“Mukhang good news yan ah” Matthew said “Ang laki ng ngiti mo eh”

“Brace yourself sister, we will be meeting a new client that would give us a fifty million investment.  Pasok na tayo sa target sis.” Dani said rejoicing “Friend ni VP Sarmiento, malamang high profile kasi strictly confidential.  He wants me to handle the account” she said

“Seryoso ba yan?” Matthew asked “Baka politician kaya strictly confidential, hay naku high risk na naman yan sis.  Handa ka na bang humarap sa Senado” Matthew teases

“Sira ka, tayong dalawa ang haharap sa Senado dahil idadamay kita bilang assistant kita”

“Hay naku, ang laki pa rin talaga ng tiwala ni VP Sarmiento sa yo.  Lahat ng personal referral nya sa iyo ibinibigay kaya ingit na ingit yung ibang team leader sa yo eh” Matthew said
