When I finally come around, I find myself in a dark classroom.

Rubbing my head, I slowly sit up
"Whaa-"

"Sh" Jayden puts his finger on my lips as my breath stills.
Only now did I realise I was, in fact, sat on his lap. He grabs my waist and turns me around so I'm facing him, although I now have to look down.
His brown eyes sparkle mischievously.
"We have to stay in here for another," he glances at the clock on the wall, "40 minutes, until the next period is over."

I groan
"Why?" I whisper.

He puts his finger on my lips again and lays his forehead against mine, my heart is pounding erratically.
"Because the next door class had their door wipe open and we can't walk out otherwise, we'll be seen." His breath tickles my face as my chest is moving up and down noticeably.

I close my eyes, unable to handle the close proximity.
"So.. what do we do for 40 minutes?"

He smirks
"Anything, anything you want."

My eyes open and I stare at him.
"What does that mea-"
We hear footsteps.

I just about blink before Jayden scoops me up in his arms and locks us in the store room.

Our breaths mingle as we are pressed together, my back to his chest.
There's silence except from our laboured breathing.
His breath is on my ear.
"Mel.." he says, strained.

"Shh." I say as I hear someone moving chairs in the classroom.

"Mel, please. Just listen-"

"Shut up Jayden." I whisper as someone turns the classroom lights on.

"Oh for the love of god, listen!" Jayden demands as his arm comes around my face and covers my mouth

My eyebrows raise expectantly
"Mhm gjgsdvyy urggg of mh" I attempt
He just looks down, wincing, and looks back at me as if I should know what he's trying to say.

I stare at him for a few seconds dumbfounded when suddenly he grabs my waist and rubs me against him.

My eyes bulge as I feel another bulge.
One a lot lower.

Electrical sparks shot through my body as I feel every muscle in his

He groans.
"See? We have a problem. You need to move."

I look around at the store room that felt like it was suffocating us.
I look at Jayden.
"Where exactly?"

He groans again and puts his fists on his face.
"I don't know! Anywhere!"

So I turn around.

He groans even louder.

"Shush!" I quiet him.

He looks at me with hazy eyes.
"I can't. I can't."

I realise my mistake.
I was now snuggled into him, hands splayed on his chest. I couldn't manoeuvre that much.

His breathing gets a little heavier.
"F*ck Mel."

I wince
"I'm sorry, I can't do anything!" I hear more chairs being moved in the classroom.

Suddenly, Jayden pushes me against the wall, pinning my hands above my head, peering into my eyes.
"You're so beautiful, you know that?"

My heart becomes a wild animal, in need of being sedated.
I wet my lips and his eyes follow my every move.
"I- F*ck Jayden. This isn't you. Wake up"

He blinks and looks at me confused
"What? Of course it's me!"

I shake my head slowly.
"Are you sure? You've been acting.. strange."

He puts his forehead on mine and our breaths mingle.
"I know.. one day, one day I'll explain it to you. You're right."

I blink
"I am?"

He nods
"You are."

We stare at each other for a few moment before I realise something.
"Jayden, listen!"

He looks at me confused,
"What?.."

"Can you hear that?" I ask excitedly

He turns his head a little and stays silent for a minute, listening.
"..No?"

I grin
"Precisely!"

"Ohh!" He finally catches on.

"If it's quiet, Jayden, that means-"

"Classroom's empty!" He grins.

We rush out of the store room and breathe in fresh air, panting slightly.

We look at each other and burst into laughter.
"That was close" he muses.

Yeah, we were way too close.
