Rose went back upstairs after everyone had left. Scorpius sat on the bed, just as Rose had left him. He looked up when she came into the room.
"Wanna talk now?" Rose asked him.
He nodded and patted the bed beside him. Rose went and sat down.
"My mum...she's ill. Her Healer is saying she isn't going to make it," Scorpius said, a tear rolling down his cheek.
Rose frowned and wiped away another tear from Scorpius's cheek.
"I'm sorry, Scor," Rose replied, intertwining her fingers with his.
He leaned against her and she turned her head to kiss him.
"I'm worried about her," Scorpius said quietly.
"Me too," Rose replied, rubbing the back of Scorpius's hand with her thumb.
Scorpius sat up and looked into Rose's bright blue eyes.
"I mean, what am I to do? My mum and I were really close. I'm just going to miss her so much," Scorpius sniffed.
"I know it's hard to lose someone you love, Scor. But just remember, you still are surrounded by lots of people who love and care about you," Rose said, cupping his cheek with her hand.
Scorpius smiled a bit.
"Thanks, Rosie," he said, kissing her.
She smiled and they hugged.

A week later, Scorpius heard that his mum had been admitted to St. Mungo's. One evening, Scorpius and Rose went to visit her.
When they got there, Draco sat in a chair next to her bed. He was holding Astoria's hand, which was extremely pale. Draco got up and let Scorpius have his seat. Astoria took Scorpius's hand and a tear slid down his cheek. Astoria reached over, her hand shaking, and wiped it away. Scorpius smiled at her. She smiled back weakly.
They stayed for a couple more hours. Astoria talked to Rose a bit about her work and her pregnancy. Draco had moved to sit on the end of Astoria's bed and he left his hand to rest on her thigh.
Once Astoria drifted off to sleep, Rose an Scorpius left. Draco waved goodbye and the couple went to a dark alleyway to Apparate back to their flat.
They got back a moment later and they went up to bed. They lay down together in bed and talked until they drifted off to sleep.

Rose got up and went to work the next morning. She let Scorpius sleep in that morning; she knew he was tired considering everything happening with his mum.
She left him a note and kissed his cheek before she Apparated to the Ministry.
When Rose got to work, she found her mum in her office waiting on her to arrive.
"Hi, mum," Rose said, hugging Hermione.
"Hi, Rosie. How's Scorpius?" Hermione asked.
"He's doing alright. I let him sleep in this morning," Rose said with a sigh, sitting down at her desk.
Hermione nodded.
"I understand," Hermione said, patting Rose's hand, "I wish I could stay, dear, but I have loads of work to get done. I'll se you after while."
Hermione kissed Rose's forehead and left.
Rose didn't get very much work done before lunchtime. She was too busy worrying about Scorpius.
At lunch, Rose Apparated home to check on Scorpius.
When she got to their flat, she found him lying on the couch. He sat up when she got there.
"Hey. How's work been so far?" he asked her.
She smiled.
"It's silly of you to ask about me when I should really be asking about you," Rose said.
"Just a husband's nature, dear," he said tiredly.
Rose sighed.
"Let's go eat, love," Rose said, going into the kitchen.
Scorpius followed her and she sat him down at the table. She fixed them some food and they ate together.
It was almost 12:45. Rose didn't have to be back at work until 1pm.
As Rose stood up to put the dishes in the sink, a silver wisp flew into the kitchen. It formed into a snake and opened its mouth to speak.
"Astoria's become weaker. The Healer is saying she most likely won't make it much longer. She's been asking to see Scorpius. Come when you can," the snake Patronus said.
Scorpius recognized it as his father's.
He jumped up from the table and grabbed Rose's hand. They went outside to Apparate directly to St. Mungo's. They found Astoria's room.
Draco was pacing back and forth in front of Astoria's bed. He looked up when Rose and Scorpius entered the room.
Draco pulled up a chair for Scorpius and he sat down. Astoria looked like she was only about half awake. Her eyelids drooped low and she looked very tired.
"Scorpius..." Astoria said, taking Scorpius's hand.
"Mum?" Scorpius said.
"Astoria? Are you okay?" Draco asked worriedly.
Rose sat in a chair in the corner, but Scorpius looked at her and beckoned her to come over. Rose went over and sat down carefully on Scorpius's leg. Astoria looked at Rose and smiled a bit. Astoria took Rose's hand as well. Astoria's eyelids drooped a little lower and she became slightly limp.
"Astoria?" Draco said, sitting next to her.
"I love you, Draco," Astoria whispered faintly.
A tear slipped down Draco's cheek and Astoria's heart rate began to speed up and then stopped all together. She was gone. Scorpius began to cry. Rose cradled him in her arms and let him cry, his hand still tight around his mother's. Draco came over to Scorpius and did something he had never done before. He hugged his son to his chest and they sat there, crying together.
Rose eventually began to cry as well and Scorpius took her in his arms. The three of them cried until a Healer came in to take Astoria away.

This chapter was kinda short...sorry!

Also, I know in The Cursed Child, Astoria died when Scorpius was younger, but I thought it might be better if she didn't die until Scorpius got older.

This chapter was so hard to write! I hate that Astoria died!😭

Please remember to read, vote, and comment!! Love you guys!!
