Albus wished for another separate room to question Scorpius in. The room appeared and Albus dragged Scorpius in by his arm. Lily jumped over the back of the couch to sit beside Rose.
"You're dating Scorpius?" Lily repeated.
"Yes. And I love him," Rose said.
If not for the Veritaserum, Rose wouldn't have admitted any of the things she'd already admitted to Scorpius and to Lily.
"You took Veritaserum, didn't you?" Lily asked.
Rose nodded and picked the bottle up off the table to show Lily.
"Why?" Lily asked skeptically.
"We were playing Truth or Dare and Scorpius thought it'd be more fun if we took some Veritaserum before we started the game. Just to be sure we were being honest with each other," Rose explained thoroughly.
Lily nodded slowly.
"What did you ask each other?" Lily asked.
"I dared him to run around the castle in his underwear and he asked me if I loved him," Rose said.
"Did he do it?" Lily asked, now amused.
Rose nodded, stifling a giggle.
Lily burst out laughing; she couldn't help herself. Rose started to laugh and before long, the two girls were rolling around on the floor, clutching their sides.
"What are you two doing?" a voice said after a while.
Rose and Lily stopped laughing, but their hiccups still filled the room. They looked up and saw Scorpius and Albus leaning over them. Albus pulled Lily to her feet and Scorpius pulled Rose to her feet.
"Hey," Rose said giddily to Scorpius.
"Hi," Scorpius replied, color flushing his cheeks.
"Oh no! No, no, no!" Lily and Albus said, rushing over and pulling Rose and Scorpius away from each other.
"What?" Rose said, clearly annoyed.
"We cannot have a Weasley dating a Malfoy. No way!" Lily said, shaking her finger at Rose.
"But we love each other! And he would never hurt me! He's not like his father," Rose protested.
"Albus and I spoke to James and we decided that we will all be judges to prove whether or not Malfoy is a good boyfriend for you. You have one week starting this Sunday. That gives you two days to prepare. We will put you through tests to determine your true character and then we will decide. Fair enough?" Lily asked Scorpius.
"Yeah, that works," Scorpius said quietly.
"Good. Now, off to your common room. Albus, go with them and make sure they keep their distances until after the decision is made," Lily ordered.
Albus nodded and guided Rose and Scorpius out of the Room of Requirement.

Sunday came quickly. Albus and Lily were constantly keeping an eye on Rose and Scorpius throughout the last couple days. On Sunday, Scorpius woke up to Rose's face dangling over his, their faces only about an inch apart.
"Argh!" Scorpius yelled, jumping out of bed.
"Ssh! Not so loud! You'll wake Al!" Rose whispered.
"Right, right. What are you doing here anyway?" Scorpius asked, going to grab clothes from his drawer.
"Well, I am your girlfriend-" Rose began.
"Whoa, girlfriend? Since when have we used that title?" Scorpius asked.
"Is there a problem with that?" Rose asked defensively.
"Well, I just feel like it's a strong word since we've only dated a few days," Scorpius replied quickly.
"Oh, so you think after a few days of us not wanting to leave each other alone and snogging and after last night, I can't consider myself your girlfriend?" Rose asked, her temper rising.
"Rose-" Scorpius started.
"No! I can't believe you! I love you! I guess if you don't feel the same, we shouldn't consider ourselves together anymore," Rose said, crossing her arms over her chest.
"I do feel the same way!" Scorpius said.
"Why don't you say it, then?" Rose asked.
"I love you, okay! You are the best girlfriend I've ever had! I can't imagine myself without you!" Scorpius exclaimed.
Rose dropped her arms and stared at Scorpius.
"Really?" Rose asked softly.
Scorpius nodded sincerely.
"I love you," Scorpius said.
"I love you more," Rose replied playfully.
"I love you most," Scorpius said.
He picked Rose up and twirled her around. She giggled lightly. Scorpius set her down and looked into her eyes.
"You know, we will have fights. But, we'll only get through them if we keep loving each other and don't let the negative feelings get to us," Scorpius said.
Rose nodded, tears sliding slowly down her face. Scorpius reached up and wiped away a tear from her cheek.
"We have to power through the obstacles, but we can only do that if we have each other. Otherwise, we become stuck," Rose said.
Scorpius nodded and kissed Rose passionately.

The two went down to the common room together, which was fortunately empty. They kissed one last time before going down separately. Rose entered the Great Hall before Scorpius. She sat down beside Lily and grabbed some butter and toast.
"What are you doing to Scorpius first?" Rose asked Lily.
"James and I are just going to start with an examination today. Tomorrow, we begin the real tasks," Lily explained.
"Just please go easy on him. He's super nervous," Rose pleaded.
Just then, Scorpius walked into the Great Hall. He glanced at Rose as he walked by and he smiled at her briefly. She smiled back and went back to her toast.
"I make no promises," Lily said with a smirk.
