31 : The Talk

Jayda | Jayden's place

I was sitting on the couch wrapped in a blanket with a book in my hand and my glasses on my face. My hair was in the sloppiest bun and I had on a pair of track shorts and a long sleeve with some socks.

I heard the door unlock and Jayden come into the mansion. She looked over at me and slowly closed the door and put her keys on the doorside table while looking at me in confusion. I turned the page in my book and took a sip of my hot chocolate.

Jayden: Um what're you doing?

I looked from my book to her back to my book then to her again.

Me: Um. Reading? What does it look like?

She tilted her head.

Jayden: I can see that.

Me: Then why ask?

Jayden: Because it's awkward seeing you read. Cause that's something you never do.

I smiled.

Me: What? I read all of the time.

Jayden: I never see you reading.

Me: Well that's because half of the time it's on my phone.

She sat beside me.

Jayden: You read on your phone?

Me: A app called Wattpad.

Jayden: Hm. Wow.

I laid on her lap and continued reading. She cut on the tv until I cut it back off.

Me: Im reading here.

Jayden: I wanna watch tv.

Me: I'll just go read by the pool. Its pretty peaceful back there.

I uncovered myself and pulled down my shorts.

Jayden: Your not going out the house in those short ass shorts.

Me: What's wrong with them?

Jayden: They make your ass look too good. Too fat. And they too short.

Me: But im gonna in by the pool. In a pool chair. Plus in the back.

Jayden: So? At least put on shorts that dont look like ya boyshorts.

I groaned and closed my book after folding a page. I stood up and skipped up the stairs and into the guest room where some of my clothes were. I pulled out a pair of longer shorts and switched out my long sleeve for a loose tank top. I quickly changed then went back downstairs where Jayden was now in the kitchen.

Me: Is this better?

She looked up from her phone and to me.

Jayden: Yeah. That's better.

I grabbed my book and went to grab my phone but Jayden grabbed it.

Jayden: What you got in here?

Me: Nudes.

Her eyes went wide and I laughed.

Me: Im just kidding.

I began walking to the back sliding door while yelling over my shoulder.

Me: No Im not!

I laid in a pool chair on my stomach and continued reading my book.

About 30 minutes later Jayden came out.

Jayden: Anna and Cameron are on their way over along with everybody else.

Me: Awe man.

Jayden: What?
