When Frosty came home, she could feel the tension between Jason and I. She asked what happened and we both had different sides to the story. Unsurprisingly, Frosty took my side and began yelling at Jason.

"I still can't believe she's our princess," Jason says gesturing to me. "She's not going to win this war for us. We might as well have lost. I could care less if Creatures came in right now and killed her."

"Whoa! I'm standing right here!"

Frosty is just as shocked as I, "How could you say that?"

"Yeah," I agree.

Frosty turns toward me. "But Jason is also right, Katheryn. You can't run off every time something doesn't go the way you want."

"Yeah," Jason yells.

"Listen," Frosty starts. "You two are gonna have to get along. We're all stuck with each other until Katheryn wins the war. So, figure it out!"

Jason and I look at each other and I could tell Jason was surprised by his sister's reaction.

"Fine," I say.

"Whatever," Jason responds. "But I still don't trust you."

Jason and I had to go back to the Palace to see Erin the next day. Jason said the reason was that I had some training exercises I had to do to prepare.

"Erin is going to teach you how to use your powers," he says.

A small burst of excitement coursed through me. "Really?"

"Yeah, so hurry up and eat your breakfast."

After breakfast, we head to the Palace. Frosty couldn't accompany us because she had school this morning, so it was just Jason and I again today.

"Hello Katheryn," Erin says with a smile.

"What's up, Erin," Jason says nonchalantly.

Erin smiles meekly before turning her attention back to me.

"Jason told me that you're gonna teach me how to use my telekinesis," I say.

"That is correct."

"So," I begin rubbing my hands together anxiously, "When do we start?"

The next thing I know, a dagger is flying toward me fast.

"Katheryn, think fast," Erin shouts as she launches the dagger in my direction. My first instinct is to duck or to try to block the blade somehow, but instead, when I open my eyes, the knife is hovering in front my face. I let it drop and it clangs to the marble floor.

I dart my eyes at Erin. "Um, what the hell?"

Erin snickers a little, "I want to teach you how to control doing that, because I notice that you use telekinesis when you're scared or angry."

I look over to see Jason stifling a laugh. I scowl at him, "What are you laughing at?"

He smiles, "You should've seen your face." Jason raises his hands above his head and begins to wail dramatically.

"That's enough play. It's time to practice," Erin orders. "Follow me, we're going to the training center."

"The what now," I ask.

"Ah, I haven't been there in years," Jason says, reminiscing

"The training center is an attachment to the Palace; it's and most Wings go there to practice using the weapons or their powers." Erin and Jason lead me around the Palace until I see a building that's a little less than half the size of the Palace. Erin opens the door and let's us in.
