They always say, "Don't give up." That's what he did. He tried. She's the one who gave up. He missed the kisses that she placed on his lips. He missed the pranks and the moments when he witnessed her smile. She's gonna give it all up and he thinks that he's doing it for her evil mom.
But no, she didn't.
Sitting next to him, Margaux took the beer out of his hand. Her eyes went straight to the other hand, which was holding a ring with a Green Day heart grenade design on it. She raised the beer and started to swallow the drink from the bottle. Just when she settled the beer down, she grabbed the ring from his hand. "Life sucks," she muttered. Adam nodded, obviously agreed. "Let's get married. Do anything and take my bachelorette life away. It would be my pleasure."
Adam chuckled, taking the ring from her. Now that she responded to his beautiful request, he slid the ring into her finger. His lips met hers. When he pulled off, he whispered the words that he wanted to say for a long time:
"I can't wait for you to be Mrs. Cole, bay bay."
