"Room 206 come on," I groaned to myself passing by room 203.
"Can I help you?" A calming voice asked.
"That would be awesome," I chuckled.
"What room are you looking for?" He smiled at me.
"Room 206," I smiled looking at my shoes.
"Great that's right down the corner," He looked at his shoes walking, "I'm Cameron by the way, your hall monitor."
"Cool, any ruled I 'should' be following?" I chuckled.
"Why the sarcasm?" He laughed.
"Because I'm probably going to break them anyway," I chuckled.
"Well, you better not," Cameron said playfully hitting my arm.
"I'll do my best, what are they?" I looked down.
"Well, no noise after 10 and no boys behind closed doors," He chuckled as we arrived by my dorm.
"Does that rule apply for you?" I giggled.
"I don't know about that," He gave a slight smirk.
"See you when I get in trouble," I said entering my dorm.
"So I'll be seeing you often then?" He chuckled. I waved closing my dorm door. I walked in and there was a boy. Quite muscular, tall and he was definitely cute.
"Hey," My voice cracked.
"Oh hi, I didn't notice you," He smiled taking off his headphones.
"I'm your new room mate," I giggled.
"Thank God it's you and not some freak," He laughed.
"How do you know I'm not?" I chuckled.
"You seem too pretty to be a freak," He laughed then nervously turning around noticing what he just said. His shyness was adorable.
"Thank you," I blushed silently.
"Umm.. d-do you like to umm.. listen to music?" He asked nervously.
"Yeah, it's my sub-major," I smiled.
"Mine too," Shawn smiled.
"We're going to have quite a few classes together then," I smiled.
"Yeah," He nodded.
"I need to head out and go get some food," I said changing my jacket.
"Oh yeah, me too," Shawn said turning off his laptop.
"Do you have any suggestions? I'm not familiar to anything here," I chuckled.
"I'm just going to this little cafe down the street of the back entrance, you can come with me if you want?" He looked at his feet.
"Are you sure? I don't want to be a bother," I said shyly.
"No, it'd be great to have some company," He smiled.
"Thank you, oh and by the way I'm Alexia," I smiled tucking my phone into my pocket.
"Awesome, I'm Shawn," He smiled looking at his shoes. We walked to the back of the school to exit from the back entrance. It was quite silent in the beginning but not for long.
"So, does your boyfriend go here too?" He asked.
"Boyfriend? Haven't dated in 2 years," I chuckled.
"Not possible," Shawn was shocked.
"I swear," I giggled, "How about your girlfriend?"
"Honestly I haven't dated in a while," He said,"Why haven't you?"
"No offense but their aren't too many gentlemen left in our society," I looked down at my shoes.
"Same with girls, if you know what I mean," He giggled.
"Yeah, I get you," I chuckled. We walked to the cafe and it took us about five minutes there. Shawn and I spent hours talking, he's a wildcard like me.
"No way," I laughed.
"I'm serious," He chuckled.
"So you paid a random person to bail you out of jail," I laughed.
"I wasn't going to tell my parents," Shawn laughed at me. We soon realized it was about 8:30 and we both had a lecture in the morning so we thought it was best to be back at our dorm. We were walking towards the back entrance and it started to drizzle. We raced towards the door to try and get in.
"Shit, it's locked," I groaned as the rain got heavier.
"Here, take my beanie, it shouldn't be too long to the main entrance," Shawn said handing his blue beanie towards me.
"No, it's fine Shawn," I rejected.
"I insist," Shawn said placing it onto my head.
"Thank you," I smiled.
"Ready?" Shawn said holding onto my hand. We ran and ran. It took us almost 10 minutes to get to the main entrance.
"Are you okay?" Shawn asked concerned.
"I'm good, how about you?" I smiled.
"I'm fine," Shawn looked down. We began to walk to our dorm and suddenly I bumped into someone and fell to the ground.
"Gosh Lex, are you okay?" Shawn asked reaching his arm towards me, helping me stand up.
"I'm fine," I said putting a stroke of hair behind my ear.
"I'm so sorry Alexia, I'll have to write myself up," Cameron joked.
"Don't worry Cam, I'll let it slide, just turn back the favor," I winked.
"We should go and dry off," Shawn suggested.
"Definitely, bye Cam," I smiled walking away.
