Bo is a few weeks old now and he has been doing great but the last couple of days he has been really cranky, fussing over his feeds and crying non stop.
"Baby I think we outta take him to the hospital to get checked out" I said to Caroline
"Me too, his temperature is rising and he just don't seem right" she said
We grabbed a few things and headed to the hospital, better safe than sorry.
"He's gonna be ok Luke ain't he" Caroline said looking over at Bo his car seat
"Yeah baby, we are doing the correct thing by getting him checked out" I said trying to reassure her, but deep down I was worried as hell. Mama said that he probably just has a stomach bug or something but I'm not to sure.
We pulled into the children's ER and got him booked in. We were sitting in the waiting room when I nurse called us
"Mr and Mrs Bryan this way please" she said
We followed her into a cubicle and Caroline laid Bo down on the bed. She started feeling along his tummy and she said
"I would like to send Bo for a scan of his abdomen, it feels a little hard and we just wanna see what's going on inside there"
"Yeah do whatever you need to do ma'am" I said holding onto Carolines hand
"In the mean time I'm going to give him a little shit of something to help with the pain"
About twenty minutes later Bo was back from his scan. The nurse came in and said
"Mr and Mrs Bryan, it seems as if Bo has a slight blocked bowel, that's why he is off his feeds and feeling generally unwell, we are going to need to operate"
Omg my baby boy needs and operation.....,
