Chapter 16

I had a full day of fun filled activity planned with Caroline before I had to catch the 6am flight to Seattle for a show tomorrow night.
"Baby I am so happy you came to visit. I have been feeling so crappy these last few days and having you here with me makes me feel fantastic" she said hugging in to me.
"Baby I just had to see you, the road gets lonely and your mind starts to wander, but in where I want to be now" I said
She looked at me and said
"What do you mean your mind starts to wander"
"Baby it's ok let's not make an issue if this please I only have today and then I am on the road again for a month with no breaks" I said
"Luke please just tell me if you don't then my mind will start to wander" she pleaded with me.
"Well remember I told you about those girls I invited back stage well I was kinda flirting with one of them, Carter called me on it. It never meant anything, it was just that she looked so much like you I lost focus for a while." I said
"Luke you didn't......"
I cut her off with a kiss
"Caroline you are the only woman for me I love you with every beat of my heart. With every breath in my lungs. I swear it was only harmless flirting. In fact I set her up with black mike" I said
She looked like she was going to cry I couldn't tell if it was happy or mad at me
"Baby are you ok. I'm sorry please don't leave me again" I said on the verge of tears
"Luke that had to be the most romantic thing anyone has ever said to me" she said while giving me a hug.
"So we are cool" I asked
"Yes baby we are stronger than steel" she said kissing me "so what have you got planned for me today" she asked
"Well I thought we would have a picnic down by the Muckalee, and then we could go to the cinema and then come back home and have some of Mamas chicken and dumplings." I suggested
"That sounds brilliant, and baby, my periods ended today so tonight is gonna be one hell of a memory maker."
