Our one night turned into going most of the next day and night. It was now the 21st and Dave and I had decided before we went to sleep last night that we would wait again. We were going to wait until Dave thought it was right. I woke up before Dave and headed to the kitchen to make coffee. When I turned the corner into the kitchen Taylor was sitting at the table eating a bowl of cereal.

"Well look who survived getting her brains screwed out," Taylor said as I walked over to the cupboard and pulled out two cups.

"He didn't screw my brains out. I can think clearly. Oh I should warn you that Dave knows about our drunken night before my finals," I responded with. I opened the fridge and grabbed the creamer.

"Why would you do that?" Taylor asked as I put some sugar in my cup.

"Because he asked. I'm not going to lie to him. I never did and never will," I replied as I poured coffee into both of the cups.

"Oh so you told him about the miscarriage you had after moving here then," Taylor spat at me as I put the creamer back in the fridge. I turned around and smacked him fast on the back of the head.

"No and shut up about that. You know not to talk about that," I whisper shouted as Taylor rubbed his head.

"Gees I know. If you're being honest with him then you should tell him though. Fuck you don't hit hard but you know just the spot to hit," Taylor said as I picked up the coffees and left the kitchen.

I'd apologize to him later for hitting him. I also knew he was right. I should tell Dave about the miscarriage. When I moved away, I didn't know I was pregnant. I had miscarried two days after I got to my aunts. I woke up in the middle of the night with a sharp pain and blood on the sheets. The doctor said I had been about 5 weeks or so and the only time I could think of was Dave's birthday. I had slept until noon and was on my way to take it when Dave came home. As I walked into the bedroom and closed the door behind me, I decided I was going to tell him. I put the coffees on my bed side table and got back into bed next to Dave. I smiled before I leaned over and kissed him on the cheek. He smiled briefly and then went back to his sleep face. I kissed him again and he turned his head to the other side. I then started kissing his back in hopes it would get him to wake up.

"Babe stop. You wore me out," Dave said sleepily as I continued to kiss his back.

"I'm not stopping until you get up," I said in between kisses

"Ok I'll get up," Dave said after a few more kisses. I stopped and sat up as he turned over and sat up as well. Dave put a hand on my neck and pulled me in for a kiss. When we stopped kissing I handed Dave his coffee and then grabbed mine.

"I missed this," Dave said after he took a sip of the coffee. He put a hand on my thigh and smiled at me.

"Me bringing you coffee in bed?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.

"No. Having morning coffee with you in bed is what I missed. We would just spend those few minutes together being us," Dave replied. Our mornings when we could do that were some of the moments that I remembered the most when I thought about him.

"I missed this too. I need to tell you about something that happened after I moved out here," I said. Dave put a hand up and shook his head no.

"I don't want details about you and Taylor," Dave said and I rolled my eyes at him.

"It's not that. Do you remember your 23rd birthday?" I asked and Dave nodded.

"What about it?" He asked, confused.

"Do you remember how when you came home, I was coming down the stairs?" I asked. Dave nodded and motioned for me to go on with his hand. "I had just woken up and I hadn't taken the pill yet. You came in and we went upstairs and had sex and that lead to something," I said. Dave stopped me by putting a hand up between us.
