"What if she doesn't like me?" I asked as we waited for our bags at the airport. We had flown to Virginia to be with Dave's mom for christmas.

"Britt stop worrying. She's going to love you," Dave replied as he picked up our bags.

"I can't help but worry. I've never met anyone's parents before. I'm nervous," I replied as we headed out to the where the cars were.

"Both my mom and dad will love you just like I do. Just relax and look for Jimmy," he said back. I looked to my left and saw Jimmy right away. Thank god for pictures or I wouldn't have seen him.

"There," I said and started walking towards him.

"Yo Dave. Welcome home man. Whose the hottie?" Jimmy asked as he and Dave did a one arm hug.

"Jimmy this is my girlfriend Brittany. Babe this is my best friend Jimmy," Dave replied. Jimmy offered his hand out so I took it and we shook.

"Nice to meet you," I said with a smile.

"Like wise. Let's get you to your moms. She can't wait to see you," Jimmy replied as we put the bags in the trunk and then got in the car. Dave and Jimmy talked most of the car ride. I replied everytime I was asked a question but I mainly just listened. I was more worried about whether or not Dave's mom Virginia, Ginnie for short, would like me. Dave reached into the backseat and put his hand on my knee which snapped me out of my thoughts. I smiled at him before moving forward a bit and taking his hand in mine. When Jimmy pulled into a driveway and turned the car off, I squeezed Dave's hand and he looked at me. He gave me a huge smile before kissing my hand. Jimmy got out and grabbed the bags from the trunk as we got out. He handed them to Dave and said goodbye before getting in the car and leaving. Dave and I walked up to the door and he told me to knock so I did. The door opened shortly after.

"Welcome home David," Ginnie said as we walked into the house. Once Dave put the bags down, they hugged each other.

"Mom this is my girlfriend Brittany," Dave said after they pulled apart and they both looked at me.

"It's nice to meet you finally. David has said nothing but nice things about you when he calls or sends a letter," Ginnie said as she hugged me.

"Hey you put the picture I sent in a frame," Dave said from behind her and she turned to look.

"Of course I did. You both look so happy in it. I'll be right back. I made some tea while I was waiting for you guys. Would you guys like some?" she asked as she walked towards what I guess was the kitchen.

"Yes please," I replied as I walked over to Dave.

"No thanks mom."

"David take the bags to your room while I get the tea please. We don't need Lisa tripping over them when she walks through the door," Ginnie said as she left the room. Dave rolled his eyes and went to take the bags to his room. I looked at the picture Dave and Ginnie had been talking about.

I wanted to get the pictures developed from my birthday but there was still pictures left on the roll. I took a few pictures of Krist, Kurt, Courtney and Dave before Dave took the camera and took a couple of me. Courtney then took it and took pictures of me and the guys. Krist took it to get a picture of me and Courtney before Kurt stole it and took a couple pictures of Dave and I. The last picture on the roll was the one Dave had sent her. Dave had his arms around me with his head on my shoulder and I had my hands on his. We were both smiling from ear to ear.

"David said that was taken the day after your birthday," Ginnie said as she came back into the living room with a tray with a teapot, four cups, creama nd sugar.
