Promise Ring

Do you know what the word of Promise means? If you don't know, then let me tell you.

Promise means a declaration or assurance that one will do a particular thing or that a particular thing will happen.

You have dated Kendall for about three months now. You were still seventeen.

If you were wondering, how did you and Kendall start dating?

Well, you both met during your biology class. It was funny really. You both got paired with each other on a project and you kinda bonded. Few months later, you became really close friends and found out that you had feelings for Kendall and vice versa. You confessed to her and she also confessed to you and since then, you both started dating.

Kris and Bruce, her parents, knew about your relationship and they were a hundred percent supported your relationship. They both loved your dearly.

Right now, you were walking over to the Jenner house since your house wasn't that far from hers. Kendall didn't know about you coming over. You told her that you were out of town with your family. You wanted to make a surprise for her since it was your third month anniversary. You knocked over the door and got greeted by Bruce. You greeted him and hugged him like always. You admired him, he was like a second father to you.

"hey Bruce," you smiled

"Y/N, I thought you were out of town?" he asked with a surprise look on his face

"well, I wanted to surprise Kendall" you said and told him about the anniversary

"oh that's why Kendall was so sad about you not being able to be with her on your third month anniversary" he said and you nodded

"exactly, that's why I came here and bought her this, do you think she'll like it?" you asked him as you showed him the gift that you bought for Kendall

Bruce just smiled,
"I am more than sure that she will love it. She will love everything that comes from you, Y/N"

"aww thank you Bruce, anyway, Kendall's upstairs right?" you asked and he just nodded

"alright, see ya later" you said and headed upstairs to her room.

You knocked on her door. You probably think it's ridiculous to knock your girlfriend's door since she was your girlfriend. But no, you were raised to have a good attitude and it was somebody else's house. You knocked again but there was no reply

You decided to open the door and saw your girlfriend's back facing you. She was on her study table, listening to music on her computer. She didn't even know you were there. You walked towards her and slowly wrapped your arms around her waist and gave her a kiss on her cheek.

"Hey beautiful"

She constantly turned around and you saw her eyes widened and put down her headphones immediately and pulled you into a kiss.

"I thought you were out of town!" she exclaimed once she broke the kiss

you just chuckled,
"well, I came here to surprise my girlfriend, is that wrong?"

she shook her head swiftly,
"no, In fact, I'm really happy that you're here"

"aww come here, happy anniversary baby" you opened up your arms and she jumped on to you

"happy anniversary too, I miss you like crazy" she whispered into your ear making you shiver

"I miss you too Kenny" and she snuggled on the crook of your neck

You walked towards the balcony and you put her down gently. You stood in front of her and smiled. It was such a beautiful scenery, you both were under the moonlight. It was such a wonderful night.

"Kendall, I know we're still young, we're still 17 and there's still a lot ahead of us. But I just want you to know that I really do love you, and I promise not to hurt you. You are my best friend, my lover, my everything. I promise I would do whatever it takes to protect you from any harm. I promise to love you and cherish you, I want you to keep this." you said and you gave her a promise ring

You just recently bought two promise ring for her. She looked over at the promise rings that you bought for her and her eyes glistened

"I bought it on Cartier yesterday-"

"baby you don't have to buy me anything, I just need your love that's all- " she started but you just kissed her on the lips making her smile

"I know but I want to," you gave her a peck one more time and she hugged you

"the black one represents me and the silver one is you, it's like yin and yang, we complete each other" you stated

You took out the promise ring and put it on her finger

but it got stuck.

It was too small.

oh no.

"oh god I'm such a bad girlfriend, it's too small, fuck, what are we gonna do? wait I'll come back to the store tomorrow and change it with the right size- " you started saying but Kendall just cut you off giggling

"you don't have to do that babe" she said and you raised your eyebrows

Kendall's face brightened,
"wait over here"

the dark-haired girl went inside her room and two minutes later, she came back bringing something in her hand. You realized it was a necklace and Kendall put the rings on the necklace making it a ring necklace. It was beautiful.

"see? I can still wear it," Kendall said and you just smiled lovingly at your girlfriend

"this is the reason why I love you, you are too smart for me" you said and she just laughed

"stop flirting and just help me put the necklace already" Kendall joked and you laughed while putting it around her neck

"now it's way more beautiful when it's on you" you said and she just put her arms around your neck

"I love you so much, Y/N. you had no idea" she sighed

"trust me, I know" and you pulled her into a gentle kiss

And that's how you ended the night. Together with her. The love of your life. Maybe you were both still too young to know about love.

But you knew deep inside that your love for Kendall is real and inevitable.

And you were sure that it is so much bigger than a two pairs of

Promise Ring.
