Chapter 19: the new player
Alex's POV:
It's been a month since the accident, Henry and Justin are better now. I was going to their football practice today and they needed someone to help them warm up because they were early.
"Ok back up" I said as they ran backwards
I held the football out, walked a couple inches and punted it. Justin and Henry were only at the center of the field and I went over their heads. They stood in with shocked faces.
"What?" I yelled across the field
"Since when can you do that?" Justin asked
"Do it again" Henry said
I took another football and did it again this time farther.
"Bravo young lady" I turn around to see Coach Trump, the football coach
Henry and Justin ran over to me. They tell me to do it 5 more times.
"Ok so let's see how you can catch and throw" coach said
My catching they say is amazing and they said my throwing is something they can work with. Then they see how I can run. The coach throws the ball to me and Justin and Henry have to try to tackle me. Which was easy because I'm kinda small so I slipped right through them and to the touchdown line. I turn around to see Henry, Justin and Coach talking. I walk over there.
"Alex? Would you like to be the bull dogs running back and kicker?" Coach asked
I smiled and looked at Henry and Justin "yea" I said

"The first game is on Tuesday, see you guys then" coach said after practice
Henry, Justin and I packed up our stuff and waited for my mom to pick us up.
"Now boys as tight ends and just friends I need you guys to protect her" coach joked as he walked away
"We don't want our little Alex getting hurt" Justin joked, I punched him in the arm as hard as I could "ow" he squealed
"Don't call me 'little Alex'" I smile
"well you are, you my little sister and your his girlfriend" Justin said I looked over at Henry who takes my hand
