Henry's POV:
She pushed me up against a tree "u think me and justin were dating, well think again, Justin is like my brother we would never go out" she said then she kissed me
She started walking again, I stood there a minute shocked. She looked back a me smiling.
*the next day*
Today was a teacher workday so no school. I was on my way to Alex's. When we pulled in the driveway I saw Alex and her dad yelling at each other. I got out of the car and went over to where Jake was watching them.
"hey dude" he said
"hey, what's this about" I asked
"o my dad wont let her ride the mustang it's to 'crazy'" he said
I looked over and heard Alex yell "I ride a bull and I'm perfectly fine! So why can't I ride the mustang!" she yelled
"wow" I said
"she knows how to argue" Jake laughed
I saw her dad walk away and her storm off and start throwing things.

Alex's POV:
I went to the stall with the mustang in it, and stood on the door.
"Alex! Get out of there with that horse!" my dad started yelling at me
I looked over at him and jumped off the door "y? He's harmless" I said
"no he's not he's a wild horse!" he yelled and started walking away
I followed behind him yelling "I rode a bull, I'm perfectly fine!" I yelled
"your not riding the horse. Period." he said walking off
I instantly got mad and started throwing things. I started running, I always went for a run if I got mad. I ran and ran and ran about a 10 minute run, then I just walked, and wondered around. I was walking around the woods when I heard something. I turn around and have just barely a second before I am tackled. I pin the thing that tackles me on the ground and saw that it was Henry. I laugh and get up.
"what are you doing?" I asked him
"looking for you"
"why?"
"can I not look for my girlfriend?" he laughed
"Jake has a friend over?" I guessed
"yea"
"let me guess short kid brown hair?"
"yep"
"yea that's why I have the tree house" I said
We went to the regular tree house and hung out for a while. Then Justin came. He climbed up the ladder and came in, then stopped in his tracks when he saw Henry.
Henry got up and went over to him "hey dude I'm sorry, I just got a little jealous-"
"a little?" I joked
They both looked at me and laughed.
"I know, but me and her would never date she's like my sister" Justin said as they shook hands
Suddenly I heard a horse and a grin came upon my face. I got up and ran to the mustang. I looked around for anybody and my dads truck was gone. I went to the stall with the mustang in it and got him out.
"uh Alex what are you doing?" asked Henry
"I'm taking Champion out for a ride" I said
"are you sure?" Henry questioned
"I'll be fine" I said
They went and sat on the deck. They watched me as I got on and rode around. I got on and Champion started to go then he bucked and I fell off. I heard the boys go "ooohh" then start laughing. I glared at them and they kept laughing. That happened to me a couple more times. Then the last time I tried I got on and he went and we rode around the yard and the space we had, the. I rode by the boys.
"who's laughing now boys?" I laughed
Then a truck pulled in the drive way.
"SHOOT!" I yelled and rode back to the stables and put Champion up
Then I see my dad walking out towards me and I turn around and try to walk away.
"Alexandria Nicole Cortex!" he yelled
"busted" I mumbled and turned around
"I told you, you weren't riding that horse"
"well you know what I did and I'm fine!"
"since I can't trust you your grounded your room now"
"but-"
"NOW!" he yelled he turned and went to his building
I stood there a minute, the boys were looking, Jake and his friend had came outside. This time I wasn't running, I had a plan. So I went to my room and got stuff ready. Then my phone buzzed. Justin and Henry were texting me:
Henry: U ok?
Me: yea, I got a plan
Justin: don't do anything stupid!
Me: me? Never :)
Henry: good luck
Justin: we r at my house if u need us
Me: k thanks
I carried on my day as usual. It was about 10pm when I grabbed my bag and slid out my window it was about to storm. I went to Champ's (Champion) stall and grabbed his bridle and reins and stuff and we rode off into the woods. It started raining, thundering and lightning, it was actually kinda scary. We were riding and the rain poured and poured. Suddenly a strike of lightning hit the ground in front of us, it spooked Champ and I fell off. I hit my head on something, I couldn't move and my head hurt.
Then I passed out....

Henry's POV:
I knew she was up to something so Justin and I texted her about 10 to see if she was home. She didn't answer.
"she's never asleep by now, especially not on a school night" I told Justin
"yea we better go see if she's there" Justin said
We went out through his window and ran through the woods to her house. We went to her window, it was open and she was gone. We went over to Jake's window to wake him up.
"Jake" Justin knocked on his window
He opened his window "it's like 11 dude"
"yea well ur sister has probably done something stupid" I said
"when is that not ever happening, hold on- does she have Champion?" Jake asked
I ran to the stables with the flashlight and Champion was not there. I ran back and Jake's parents were outside.
"She has Champion" I said
It started to rain, hard then came thundering and lightning.
"ok u boys check the woods and-" mr. Cortex was interrupted by lightning, thunder and a scream
Jake, Justin and I looked in the woods and we were going around the horse trail. We all split up in the three different paths. I was walking and calling her name getting worried.
"ALEX!" I yell every couple steps
Then I saw something laying on the ground, I immediately ran over. I knew it was Alex.
I bent down to Alex, she was so frail. It reminded me of the race a few weeks ago.
"Alex!?" I whispered
I put her head on my lap, she was freezing cold. I put my jacket on her and called the boys. They came running up with the ambulance. The put her on the stretcher and took her to the hospital.
