Man from the loins of man - a Man of the complete harmonious union of

Godly nature and human nature - the Theanthropos (God-Man) Lord Jesus

Christ. This would be best achieved through the reproductive line of the

human kind, a lesser man in terms of sonship distance from God the Creator,

but also the greatest Man ever as God the Creator. For God chooses the weak (1 Corinthian 1:26-28) for His purposes. Perfect Adam fell, but the

descendant of fallen man shall redeem all. The Son shall redeem the fathers

and all mankind. A Man from the line of man to fellowship with all

mankind. In the act of incomprehensible humility (Philippians 2:7), God the

Creator became one of His creations in the line of man not only to save and

redeem man's Fall, but also to fellowship with man (John 14:2-3; Psalm

132:13-14).

Since the purpose of procreation of man was to lead to the birth and

life of Christ, now that the purpose has been fulfilled with Christ's first

coming, the occasion of marriage is no longer necessary in the resurrection

(Matthew 22:30).

Satan as the snake, slithered right into God's plan when he caused the

fall. Regardless of Satan's interference in the perfect world, God's plan

would continue. For without the Fall, Adam and Eve would still conceive

offspring as blessed by God, although there would be no redemption needed

without the Fall.

Since the resurrection has yet to come, we have to continue to contend

with question of marriage and the struggle of erotic love in the days of post-

Christ.

We have to recognize that the union between male and female is

unique and the only one relationship given to man to create new life. In the

Bible, the union of husband and wife is used symbolically to represent Christ

and the Church (Ephesians 5 and Revelation 19:7), and also the relationship between God and Israel (e.g. Ezekiel 16). Eve was made for Adam (1 Corinthians 11:9 ) just as the Church was made for Christ. In marriage, male and female complement each other anatomically and spiritually. Male and female would have been a very perfect relationship together had it not been for the Fall.

The Fall has brought about many problems in marriage and love. In

the developed nations of today, divorce, adultery, extra-marital affairs

threaten the very fabric of marriage. Many claim they had no control over

their feelings of love and attraction. In fact, the Bible warns us to flee from

the desires of youth (2 Timothy 2:22).

Interestingly, with the few examples such as of the Song of Solomon

and Jacob and Rachel, there is a lack of clear examples of marriages in

which singles chose who they wanted to marry though a period of courtship

and wooing. There was certainly no sanction for consummation of marriage

before marriage itself in the Bible (some have the excuse of sexual
