13: Wowzers

Sunday afternoon December 22nd

After Karrueche leaving me back at the

restaurant I did a lot of Christmas shopping then decided to go home.

I needed to tell Chris about Nipsey. I don't want to hide nothing from him. I wanted our relationship to be honest.

Hitting the button to let the garage up I parked and popped the trunk. Just as I was about to upload the bags my beautiful husband came out the house with no shirt to help me.

"Hey baby." He smiled kissing my lips

"Hi papi." I grinned up at him

"How was your day out with your girls?" He asked

I didn't tell him who I was meeting with I just said I was having lunch with my homie.

"I went with Kae, and the food was good." I said

"Oh y'all cool?" He asked with an eyebrow raised

"Yeah." I nodded

"Since when?" He asked grabbing some bags

That's neither here nor there I had far more important thing to tell him.

"Since I hired her." I muttered

Another thing he didn't know.

"What?" He asked

"Babe, I gotta tell you something else can we talk about this later? Please?" I asked with hope in my eyes.

He nodded his head "Sure." He said bringing the rest of the bags in.

Once he sat them down he flopped down on the sofa pulling me down with him.

"Wassup? What's on your mind?" He asked

"Promise you won't get mad...that we're just gonna talk." I said

"Iight" he said uneasy

"Well a few weeks ago Nip called me just asking about the kids..." I said but was cut off

"How...ain't he in jail?" He asked

"Yeah but he worked something out, but anyway he called me today." I said but stopped once his body tensed up

"Uh huh." He pressed despite his body heating up

"And he wanted me to go see P." I finished

For a minute he didn't say anything but his face melted.

He didn't say anything put tapped my leg telling me to get up.

"Baby." I called out

I was scared of his reaction.

"Just give me some time babe. That's all" He said before going into the room. I had to respect his wish as he would have respected mine.

Taking a deep breath I started to unpack the things I’ve gotten for the house and for the kids for Christmas. Chris dropped the kids off at Mijo’s so we could get things ready for the holiday’s. After I unpacked everything I hung up the stockings and busted opened the lights that go around the stairs. It had been at least thirty minutes until Chris came out. He looked really calm.

“Need help?” He asked

“Yes.” I nodded my head

He went out to the garage to get the tree and ornaments. Once he came back he and I put the tree up together leaving the ornaments for the kids to do.

“Chris.”I called out

“Huh?” He asked as he plugged up the train that normally goes around the tree.

“I didn’t mean to make you upset...I just wanted to tell you, so you wouldn’t be left in the dark.” I said

He stopped what he was doing to look at me “I ain’t mad...can’t really be mad. Y’all got a kid together.” He said. And that low-key killed me as it left his mouth so I know it killed him. I like to think that King is his.

“And as far as you seeing his daughter I can’t really be mad at that either. You take care of mine without a problem so…” He said staring at the bright tree

I touched his arm pulling him into me. He instantly wrapped his arms around me resting his chin on top of my head.

“I love you so much.” I muttered into his chest

“I love you more baby.” His country accent spilled out

He picked me up walking us to the bedroom, resting me on the bed.

“Don’t you ever forget that.” He mumbled kissing me

“Seiko seriously you know the party scene ain’t me.” I shook my head from left to right.

After Chris and I woke up from our nap Seiko came calling me about this big party that everyone was gonna be at. Talking about it being good for business. The only thing was I didn’t want to go. I just wanted to stay in the house with my husband.

“I know, but everybody that’s somebody gonna be here girl come on you and Chris need to slide through.” She said

Looking over at Chris as he laughed at the ‘Fairy odd parents’ that displayed on the t.v I smiled. He was such a big kid.

“I’ll ask Chris.” I said as soon as I said his name he looked at me.

“Ask me what?” He said

“Wanna go to this party with me baby?” I asked hitting him with the puppy dog eyes.

Laughing he replied “Yeah sure.” He winked

“Iight Seiko give me some time, text me the details.” I said getting up

“YES. and okay.” She replied before hanging up

Seiko wasn’t lying when she said everybody was gonna be here. People flooded the New York night club quickly. There were a red carpet and paps were everywhere taking pictures and doing interviews.

Taking my hand Chris lead us down the walkway stopping to take some pictures.

“London!” A interviewer yelled

Smiling we walked over to her.

“How are you?” She asked giving me a side hug

“Good and you?” I asked in return

“Fine now let’s talk about this fine man behind you.” She pointed towards Chris

“Well that fine man is my husband.” I laughed

“Okay speaking of congrats on the wedding.” She smiled

“Thanks. I’m very happy in my personal life and in my business I couldn’t be even more happier.” I smiled

“Alright girl, I’ll see you inside, I’m getting my longer interview!” She pointed at me making Chris and I laugh

As we were going down the walkway I seen Kae and a dark skinned girl hugged up on each other.

They shared a kissed shocking all of me completely. I ain;t no she played for the other team.
