Chapter 16

Victor's POV:

When I was saying I was anxious, I meant it.

It is before the match I am in, and Harmony just came into the gym.

This isn't a really big match, but I will still do my best, especially since Harmony is here. Maybe I can't do this.

"Vick, you're up!" coach yells.

"Do your best!" Bronwyn encourages, as I walk towards the mat.

"You know I will." I answer, matter of factly.

You know what, I am not like is. I am a confident man, who is going to win this match, and go to homecoming with the wonderfully, beautiful, Harmony.

I get onto the mat and notice my opponent.

Alejandro.

Last year, Alejandro and I were in the nationals match. He was a very rough player and had gotten taken off a couple of teams before. I mean, he is a good player, but he doesn't play by the rules. Anyways, last year, he broke my wrist wishing the first few minutes.

The referee blew the whistle, signaling us to start.

...(I don't know much about wrestling, so *Time Skip*)

He won...

I always win!

I mean, I am not being stuck up about it, but now I am worried.

What will Harmony think? Oh no, she probably thinks I am a wimp, who never wins any of my matches. Ughhhhhh, my life sucks...

(After all, the matches)

"Victor!" Harmony calls from behind me.

"Oh, ummm, hi." I reply, glancing around, so I don't have to look her in the eyes.

"You did awesome out there!" Harmony pleaded.

"Really? Because I recall Alejandro winning." I question, looking up.

"Yea, we all know how he always cheats one way or another. I mean, he did break your wrist last year."

"Wait? You were there?"

"Yea, I might not seem like it, but I am a very competitive person."

"Wow, you're better than I thought."

"What?" Harmony squeals, blushing. Shoot! Did I really just say that?!

"Ummmm, nothing!"

"Ummm-uhhh, so..."

"Look, I-uhhh-I wantedoseeifyouwantedtomaybegooutightnow." Oh, my, Bird. What did I just do? I totally messed that one up. She probably thinks I'm a weirdo and that I can't even say a real sentence without doing, that. "I mean it's okay if you sprint want to go, I uhhh, I'd understand."

"Sure."

"Ohhh, ok, I understand."

"Vic, I said yes."

Wait, really?"

"Why not? You seem like a good guy, plus you're really funny." Harmony chirps.

I don't know why, but my brain has so much to say, but my mouth won't move.

"Close your mouth, or you might swallow a fly."

"Oh really?" I reply, kissing Harmony on the cheek making her blush a deep red. "What cat got your tongue?" Wait, what did I just do? A second ago I couldn't even move and now I flipping kissed her!

"Ummm, uhhhh, maybe we should get going?" Harmony says, stuttering.

"Yea." I reply normally, for the first time.
