Genim was strapped to a chair.

It was metal and uncomfortable.

It was familiar.

The humming of machinery was familiar.

The chill that ran down his spine was familiar.

Everything was familiar.

It wasn't a good familiar, though.

Not like how Scott's house was familiar.

No, this was a bad kind of familiar.

"Żołnierz."

Soldier.

No, no, no, it can't be him.

"You ran, Soldier."

No, no, no, no.

"You ran from us."

He could hear the voice--His voice from behind him.

He couldn't turn his head.

"You know what happens when you run, Asset."

No, no, no, please.

"Remember last time you tried, Asset?"

Please, please, no.

Not the Asset.

He couldn't move.

He was paralyzed.

Adrenaline ran through his veins.

It was felt cold, like ice.

"An entire day of torture. Truly unforgettable, that day. You remember it quite vividly, don't you, Asset?"

Stop taunting me.

"You were beat--"

Shut up.

"--to a pulp,--"

Stop.

"--all because you ran,--"

No.

"--because you couldn't carry out a simple task,--"

She was just a kid!

"--one simple task, Asset."

He closed his eyes.

He tried to block out the voice.

This wasn't real--it couldn't be.

It's not real, it's not real, it's not real.

He wasn't the Asset anymore.
