The Asset was confused.
He didn't know what had gone wrong.
He had been assigned a mission.
He wore his assassin's garb.
One sniper.
FR F2 sniper rifle.
One target.
Kira Yukimura.
One destination.
Beacon Hills.
He was suppose to eliminate Kira Yukimura.
But something happened.
He had been on a roof.
A four storey building.
He wasn't exactly alone as he set up.
The Red Team used a tracker and earpiece to track him.
The Red Team was monitoring him.
That's what he called them.
The Red Team all had a red brand on their neck.
They were shaped like 3 ovals pointing in different directions.
They all intertwined in the middle.
The Asset had one too.
But not on his neck.
It was one his back.
It had been burned into his skin.
Then it had been traced and carved into his back.
That had been his punishment for trying to escape.
It still hurt every once in awhile.
He set up the sniper rifle with ease.
An extra silencer was added.
He had done it hundreds of times before.
During all of those missions.
All those murders...
His head began to hurt but the Asset ignored that.

The Red Team leader.
"Prepare to engage."
The only response was a grunt.
He didn't have to talk to them.
