How to Date an Android Chapter 30

The box alone is so freaking cool. I can't believe it, it's finally here!

I'm still nervously looking at the front yard fence though at intervals as I glance over in that direction. I'm worried and know I shouldn't be out here very long. I hope there's enough time to get her out without being noticed. I also feel naked being out her when it's getting dark, with very few weapons available.

The side porch is a bit out of sight of the front, but I could still be seen. I have to hurry. What will it take to get this thing open? I practically need a car jack to get the door off.

Oh oops, I was supposed to hit the door button.

After I push the button, the door opens easily.

The lid came open with a bit of pushing finally. I peek inside, gingerly. There's also a neon glow light inside in case someone was opening the box in the dark. They really think of everything don't they?

They must have poured a lot of research into making the security boxes. I can also see what looks like an internal medical scanner inside the box as part of its security system. This is pretty high tech, even in a high tech world's standards. There's even a measurement device of the box's internal pressure, moisture, and air conditions compared to outside with temperature.

Sweet! Awesome!

I look down.

There's Barbara!

Yes! I've waited so long for this! This is like the feeling someone has when they win the lottery, I think.

She's in a sideways fetal position with her chin almost touching her knees and her arms in a sort of position much like how a praying mantis has its arms and claws with elbows down near the lower end of her ribs and her hands up by her chin. The arm position is blocking the side boob view.

I'm a bit surprised. She's not awake yet? Or is there some other switch to do or something else to do?

The security scanner says, 'status active' in green lettering.

She doesn't come with clothes? You would think they would at least have underwear, but even that's missing too.

Cheapskates!

They did probably not want to shell out any unnecessary costs. That wasn't in the manual...I thought she'd at least have like a shirt and pants or something but I don't see any of that.

I check for side pouches in the box.

Nothing at all...

Gulp...

She's totally naked with perfect skin. Actually the skin is too perfect. She stands out way too easily. Will someone figure it out just because it's weird to see skin that has no blemishes anywhere and is 'too clear'?

My heart is beating and my hands feel all sweaty because I'm nervous.

Uh, let's see. Don't stare at her, don't stare at her, I keep telling myself. Yet I find myself captivated. This is like too when it's hard to approach a girl because her aura is so big and you don't know how to even approach. What do I do from here?

And right in the middle of a zombie apocalypse.

I thought she was supposed to awake from deep sleep about now too? Or do I have to do something to sort of prime the pump like you would do with a well? I guess the story of Sleeping Beauty is true too. It's just that she was an android rather than a medieval princess.
