"Who the hell are you?" I asked.
"Hi everyone! I'm not a zombie. My name is Craig. Craig Peterson," he said. A little teenager named Craig. Oh wait, now that he's not hiding in the back, he's not as small as I thought he was.
"But what are you doing in my shop? Without my permission, I might add," I asked.
The other two are looking at him with wide open eyes. They didn't know he was here either, it seems judging by the reactions they have on their faces. They also don't seem smart enough to fake the reaction that well.
"Is he with you?" I ask the other two pansies.
"Um, no? We thought he was with you just now but didn't know he was there till he started spilling parts all over," Sarah said.
"Yeah, let's make some more noise while the zombies are less than fifty meters from us," I reminded them, making them quake in their boots. They look suddenly sober.
"Um...I was just hiding?" he said mildly. He tries to look pleading.
"You know this is a business, not an orphanage," I said.
"I know right? Isn't that so immature of him to like mooch off you?" the girl asks, anxious to point the finger at someone else. I can't believe she's actually saying that...
"Sorry," he looks a bit teary eyed.
"Oh I know you, you got to my school," Steve said pointing at him.
"Yeah I do," he said. He looks less than anxious to be identified.
But that caught us off guard for what was happening next.
Sarah decided to dive for the key to the lock to the bitten kid. She grabbed Steve's pipe wrench and then used it to trip my legs up while pushing me over on the ground. I didn't expect she'd try to ninja toss me and so I went down before I could react. Fudge buckets those things hurt like a mother when someone throws them into your shins.
I will spank her with a chainsaw if I can help it. Before I realized it she's got hold of my keys to the house. Oh shit, am I being robbed too?
"Hey stop that!" Steve is crying out, while the new kid, Craig is like completely confused.
"What's she doing with the bitten guy?" Craig sounds really scared.
Before we can stop her, she's trying to use the keys to bust the bitten kid out.
"No, no, no, no, NO!" Steve is crying out.
Almost at the same time Craig is also diving for her to grab her. I'm just trying to get off the floor where I feel like I want to die to end this miserable leg pain. That's when I realized the bitten kid has already turned. Instantly he's thrashing about trying to bite Sarah.
"What? What are you doing? It's me Sarah! Wake up!" she cried out. She's also sobbing almost incoherently.
Steve almost gets bit instantly, but barely dodged the bite at the last second by pulling her hand back. Still, some zombie spittle did get on his chest, with some black goo. Craig barely keeps the rabid turned thing from then biting Sarah next by putting a wrench in its jaws. They were lucky it couldn't get any of its body weight into it. But its jaws are still making chopping noises.
It continues to thrash about while both boys are yelling to, "hold it! Don't let it get her!" together, while I'm trying to get up off the floor. This is so freaking scary.
Kids aren't worth it. Teenagers are the worst too. Well...the Craig kid doesn't seem so bad I have to admit. Maybe some of them are cool?
They keep thrashing about and Sarah is still trying to set it loose while the others are barely keeping up with blocking the zombie jaws with the big pipe wrench. Craig almost lost a finger, once, twice, and barely pulls back a third time. Then the zombie's teeth start to break and fallout from biting metal one at a time.
