A/N: This is a crappy story that was lying in my collection of one-shots that I was probably never going to upload but I can't be bothered writing a new one today so...

Also I am so so so so so so sorry that I haven't updated my other book in like two weeks. I'm working on it, I promise!

Chat Noir.

It rolled off her tongue effortlessly.

His name was Chat Noir.

Kidnapped.

She had been kidnapped.

The princess of Paris was a fair prize.

Rescued.

She had been rescued.

By a criminal.

A criminal?

Chat Noir.

The most-wanted rebel in France.

Her parents had nothing against him.

He had done nothing to them.

They had been more thankful that he had rescued her.

He had done things to the King.

Guards, knocked out.

Precious jewels, family heirlooms, disappearing into the night.

A pawprint, the only trace.

His mark.

The King deserved it.

He ruled tyrannically.

Ever since the Queen passed.

Her parents tried to make up for it.

Paris was a safe-haven.

It was not enough.

Chat Noir.

He rescued her.

"Need some saving, Princess?"

She smiled unconsciously.

Her parents asked if he wanted anything.

He refused.

All he asked for was secrecy.

He did not want to put them in danger.

She saw the real him.

Chat Noir.

Rebel. Thief. Criminal.

Saviour. Heroic. Brave.

He was amazing.

She missed him.

It had been one day, and she missed him.

Why?

She wasn't sure.

But she had an idea.

He came that night.

As silent as the night.

"Miss me, Princess?"

A smirk on his face.

She smiled, and pulled him inside.

He kissed her sometimes.

It was amazing.

She knew what she felt now.

She cried. She screamed. She begged.

She did not want to marry him.

She did not want to marry the son of the King.

She had Chat Noir.

The King was his mortal enemy-the King was her mortal enemy.

She did not want to marry Prince Adrien.

He visited again that night.

She was sobbing.

"What's wrong, Princess?"

He bundled her up in his arms.

She told him. She told him everything.

He froze.

A grin spread across his face.

She was confused.

"I'll talk to you tomorrow morning, Princess."

He jumped away.

See him tomorrow morning?

It was too dangerous.

It was daylight.

And it was the day when the Prince was coming.

How could she see him tomorrow?

Morning came.

No Chat Noir.

She slowly walked down the stairs.

And gasped.

For she knew that silky blonde hair.

For she knew those striking green eyes.

Prince Adrien, perfect son, heir to the kingdom, winked at her.

Chat Noir, a criminal, a wanted man, winked at her.

She winked back.

If anyone needs more ML books, I recommend The Other Half bu @JuetheWitch. It's about Plagg and Tikki (and Marinette and Adrien, obviously) and it's amazing!
