--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A year has passed since Lillian saw her father. Another year where they were searching for the Avatar. Another year where they were approaching the South pole for a 10th time. Lillian grew tired, she has almost seen the whole world, the adventurous side of her has died out. She hasn't seen her grandfather in over 3 years and to be honest, she missed him. Zuko had changed so much over the time of their journey. He was short tempered, impatient, annoying and a Royal pain! Lillian and Zuko have been at each other's throats for the past few months, their friendship was taking a toll on this journey. Iroh was worried that Lillian would decide to pack her bags and get off at the next harbor. Once, Lillian and Zuko got into such a huge argument about the Avatar that Lillian ended up throwing Zuko over board... Let's just say, he wasn't impressed. After that they wont even look in each other's direction. Iroh stood on the deck behind Lillian watching her as she gazed out over the ocean, she held her necklace that Zuko had given her tightly in her hand. Iroh walked closer and placed his hand on her shoulder, "You and Zuko need to pull yourselves together, this is not healthy and I-" "His obsession is not healthy..." Lillian interrupted Iroh. Lillian's eyes never left the horizon as she spoke, "I can't do this anymore Uncle... The fighting, the obsession and the fact that he always thinks that I am beneath him...It's like he doesn't care for anyone other than himself."Lillian finished, Iroh stood silently next to her waiting for her to say anything else but she didn't. "Everything will work out, I promise!"Iroh whispered as he pulled Lillian close for a hug, "Just don't lose hope..." Lillian nodded before she pulled away and made her way to her room. Iroh was right, but she needed to rest first. Lillian stopped at Zuko's door. She stared at the metal frame debating with herself if she should go in and try to apologize, she watch the shadows beneath the door but instead she moved on to her room. Lillian closed the door behind her and collapsed onto her bed. Kasai opened one of his eyes noticing Lillian laying on her bed, he got up and laid right beside her releasing a slow purr. Lillian stroked Kasai's head as she slowly began to fall asleep.

Lillian was awoken by a loud banging at her door, she groaned as she rolled over and pulled her pillow over her head, "Uncle... I'm sleeping..." she yawned. Lillian heard her door open and peeked under her pillow to try and see who it was, "Lady Lillian, my apologies for disturbing you but the Prince has requested you to join him on deck."Said one of the guards. Lillian sat up and the guard left, 'what now...'she thought.

Lillian stepped out onto the deck to find Zuko staring at an odd light beam that shone as if it was being shot out from the ground. Lillian stood next to him, "Is that what I think it is?"Lillian asked as she gazed from the beam towards him, Zuko just nodded his head. Lillian sighed, "Well, it's late."Lillian began, "We should be there in the morning... Goodnight Prince Zuko" Lillian turned and walked away, Zuko whispered under his breath, "Goodnight Lilliy..." Before Lillian disappeared into the dark hallways she looked back at Zuko, 'Seems like our journey has come to an end My Prince...'

Lillian dressed into her armor and met Zuko at the nose of the ship, she stood at his side as the plat formed lowered. Lillian saw the terrified faces of the water tribe villagers as they made their way down. Lillian walked slightly behind Zuko but stuck close. A water tribe warrior rant towards Zuko with some sort of club, before her could even swing at him Zuko sent him flying over the ship into a pile of snow. Lillian shoved passed Zuko, "That was lame..." he rolled his eyes and stood in front of the villagers, "Where are you hiding him??" Nobody answered him, Zuko then grabbed an elderly woman from a young girl, Lillian began to take a step forward but noticed that the young water tribe girl stared at her in confusion. "He'd be about this age, master of all the elements!"Zuko shoved the old woman back and then sent an arch of fire at the people. "Zuko! that is unnecessary!"Lillian growled but he ignored her, "I know you are hiding him!" Suddenly the warrior from earlier came up behind Zuko and tried to attack him but was blocked by Lillian she threw him over her shoulder and Zuko sent a fireball at him, the warrior rolled out of the way and flung an odd weapon at Zuko which he ducked. "Show no fear!"said a little boy as he tossed a spear at the warrior. He then charged at Zuko but before he could make contact, Lillian grabbed the spear with one hand and used her elbow to snap it in half, then she poked the guy in the head until he fell down, "Stay down will you! I don't want anybody to get hurt and more than you do..."She whispered as she threw the left over spear to the side. Suddenly Zuko groaned in pain, the weapon the warrior threw was a boomerang and hit Zuko right in the back of the head, Lillian snickered under her breath and then noticed the water tribe warrior staring at Zuko in fear. Zuko had clenched his fists and formed fire daggers to attack with, but before her could do anything, he was knocked over by a young boy riding a... "Penguin!!!!"Lillian squealed, "Ompf!"Lillian's attention was bought back as she noticed Zuko laying face first in the snow, "hahaha! He snowed you!" Nobody but the water tribe warrior laughed but then swallowed his laughter, "hey Katara, Hey Sokka.", Hi Aang, thanks for coming..." 'hmmm Sokka is it? His kinda cute for a water nation boy...' Lillian thought to her self as she fell beside Zuko circling the bald kid. He sent a wind of snow towards all of us, "Looking for me?"Zuko melted the snow with his heat, "Your the airbender? YOUR the avatar?" Lillian stood closer to Zuko, making sure he didn't do anything stupid. Did that help? Nope.. he started to attack the avatar sending fireball after fireball. Finally the Avatar surrendered and was taken onto the ship. Lillian walked behind the airbender, she stared at all of his tattoo's, 'I need to get this kid alone...' Lillian thought to herself as she wandered aimlessly. "Take the Avatar to the prison hold and take this to my quarters." Lillian looked up watching as the Avatar disappeared and Zuko left to go to his room. 'I need to sort things out with hot head first before I talk to the Avatar...' Lillian walked to her room so that she could remove her armor. As she tightened her hair into a long braid. There was a loud wooshing sound outside her bedroom door, Lillian opened the door and noticed that Zuko's door just suddenly shut. Lillian walked towards his door slowly being sure to check her surroundings for anything odd. she stood before his door as Lillian was about to open the door she heard banging coming from inside of Zuko's room and then suddenly the door flew off of it's hinges and she dove out of the way just in time. As she lifted herself up on her elbows, she saw the avatar run out of Zuko's room "Sorry!!!!!" he yelled, Lillian jumped to her feet and ran after the monk, "Hey you!!! Bald kid!!"Lillian yelled as she gained speed on the avatar, "Wait! I need to ask you something!!!" before she could say anything further she ran straight into an opening door... *THUD* Lillian sat on the floor holding her head, Zuko came up from behind her, "Lillian, get up!! His getting away!!" Lillian glared at Zuko, "How about I smash your face into a metal door!!!!!" she growled. Zuko pulled Lillian up and then they both went after the avatar. Lillian ran up the stairs to the control room as fast as she could, when she opened the door she saw the avatar flying away on his glider. Just as she was staring, Zuko ran past her and jumped off the spotters point and lunged himself onto the avatar's glider....They both went right down.. "Idiot!!" Lillian looked over the balcony and watched as Zuko stood up ready to face the avatar. There was an odd growling sound and then out of now where a bison appeared, Zuko began attacking the Avatar. Lillian jumped down and landed gracefully on her feet, "Zuko Stop!"She yelled as he sent fire at the Avatar, "ZUKO!" the avatar stood on the railing of the ship and with one final blow, he fell into the ocean. Without a second thought Lillian dove into the water after him, "Aang! NO!" Yelled Katara, before the sound was muffled by the water around Lillian. The Avatar's body was sinking to the bottom of the ocean, Lillian swam as fast as she could, when she finally grabbed hold of him, his eyes and tattoos began to glow. Lillian gazed into his white eyes and then suddenly... Her crystal began to glow, the avatar stared at her crystal and then nodded at her. Before Lillian could do anything else, he formed a great wave of water around them selves and lunged into the air, Lillian fell onto the deck of the ship right before Zuko. the Avatar then bent the water around him and shoved everyone off the ship except for Lillian, "You Must Protect Me... My Tenshi..." echoed the Avatar's past voices as he fell over. Lillian nodded her head, "I will join you soon, young Avatar. At the right time."She whispered before everything went black.

The ship was trapped under a large pile of snow, Zuko began giving orders to his men when Iroh interrupted him, "Zuko! What Happened to her?!"Iroh yelled as he knelt down next to Lillian's fragile body, her skin was almost an icy blue from the cold. Zuko's eyes widened in shock, "I- I don't know Uncle!" Zuko was so focused on the Avatar that he had completely forgotten that she had jumped over to rescue him, "We have to get her inside!" Iroh ordered as he rushed to make a herbal tea, Zuko lifted Lillian into his arms, she was so light as if she was floating in his arms... "I'm sorry Lilly..."Zuko whispered in her ear as he carried her to her room. Zuko laid Lillian down on her bed, when her head shifted the necklace that he had given her fell out from under her shirt, "Oh Lilly, I'm such an idiot!"Zuko held his face in his hands and stayed at her bedside the whole night through.

When Zuko woke up he realized that he had slept in Lillian's room. Her head laid on his chest and thankfully her color had returned thanks to Uncle's remedy. He stared at her face for a long moment before getting up. He threw a few more blankets over her before kissing her hand and leaving the room. In her sleepy state Lillian mumbled in her sleep, "I'll be your Tenshi Zuko..."
