Chapter 32: Tomoe vs. Usagi

It was 5:40 in the morning.

Tomoe was sleeping soundly in her dorm room, until she heard knocking at her door.

She groggily stood up and opened the door.

It was Usagi!

"You. Me. Battle. Now." Usagi said.

Tomoe looked at Usagi with a blank face.

Then she shut the door and went back to bed.

"Hey!" Usagi yelled starting to bang on the door, vigorously.

"Come back later!" Tomoe said moving from side to side.

"1, 2, 3." Usagi counted in her head.

"It's later!" Usagi said continuing to knock on the door.

Tomoe sighed then went to the door.

"We need to finish our little battle that we had at the Amusement Park." Usagi said.

"We already finished it. Remember, we got a tie?" Tomoe said rubbing her eyes.

"When two people have a tie, it's never finished. They keep going again and again until one wins." Usagi stated.

Tomoe sighed, "Fine. When can we compete?"

"I still need to ask Headmistress Orihime about it, but just know it'll be soon, so be prepared." Usagi said.

"Yeah, yeah." Tomoe said yawning.

After Usagi sashayed away, Tomoe went back into her bed and fell asleep.

{Time Lapse}

Tomoe woke up to see a slip of paper under her door.

She picked it up and read, "Headmistress Orihime said that we can compete this Thursday. 3:00. Be ready."

Tomoe grunted and then got ready for the day.

{Time Lapse}

"So that's basically what happened." Tomoe finished explaining her morning to the group.

"Shouldn't you be happy? You love competition." Akiko asked.

"I am happy, it's just that all this competitive spirit started too early in the morning for me." Tomoe replied.

Stella laughed then asked, "So, what are you going to do?"

"I'm going to go versus her this Thursday." Tomoe said.

"Well, you better get practicing." Shizu said.

"Why? She's not that good. Is she?" Tomoe asked.

The girls slowly nodded their heads.

"I guess I actually have to try now." Tomoe said.

"You weren't going to actually try before?" Shiyomi asked.

"No, not really. I don't think I really need to." Tomoe replied.

"Well, doesn't that sound a bit arrogant?" Jaja asked.

"You call it arrogance. I call it confidence." Tomoe said.

Stella sighed.

"Hey, why don't we go get a drink from the café?" Shiyomi asked changing the subject.

Dream Academy

A couple hours later, the girls went to Dream Academy to see what Usagi was up to, while Tomoe began to practice.
