How to Date an Android, Chapter 13 Part B (revised!)

"Ah lets not talk about that. I heard weird things about that. That's too much," I said.

"True."

"So you are sure they are real now?" she asked.

She nodded, "I'll also prove it another way. Watch this."

Carefully she brought out an empty crystalline glass. Then while I watched I was surprised when she began sucking on her own nipples for a brief minute. Then with no warning she starts milking herself. Within another minute the glass is half full of perfectly white milk.

"Is...that...."

"Yes Jack, it's perfectly healthy to drink. Also no contaminants or chemical substances of any kind; its cleaner than your tap water probably."

I didn't even need to make any changes...after that. It was finally done.

At that point I hit my limit on credits. I had put a lot of mods on her actually. But a lot of them were things other people didn't think of so they wouldn't cost much. Like the psychology and parenting mods weren't something that cost much. They made those so cheap it was almost as if they wanted people to get them. The same with family relationships and dating mods and cooking.

There was a whole list of procedures that I wanted to add that were like swat techniques and other things but you can't have everything. Also much of what I'd chosen was for defensive maneuvers but there were also offensive versions of the same thing, like for example 'search and seizure'.

It also appealed to me to go for a model that was a 'virgin' that didn't know about sex yet.

But I had to make a sacrifice on getting that because of needing the points elsewhere...

I decided I'd train her myself on car mechanics in order to have an additional urban camouflage and hiding techniques military mod. The riots were getting closer to this area. So I didn't want to take a chance. Plus if she was going to be a companion then I wanted to have time together anyway even if it was in the shop time.

And of course an extra backup battery and additional water filtration device to 'keep her blood and systems clean' and able to last.

It looked good. Barbara was even impressed.

She still looked like if a supermodel had decided to be a mom. But without the aging. It was kind of cool. I like this look. If it was the end of the world it would work out, and if it wasn't I'd be able to have more time to go over auto mechanic stuff too.

The farming and gardening skills would work with both types of...environments.

I liked it.

Barbara was...jealous. I'm sure of it. She seemed even a little bit trying to not be mad.

But I didn't have a choice. I can't just magic up some huge stack of money for a Liga. And Barbara is DEFINITELY a Liga. She hasn't told me, but she's too smart.

How weird. Ligas sure were very human like... almost too much.

"And how long will it take for this to be put together once the order is finalized?" I asked.

"Not long Jack, we just have to tweak the genetics a bit. She's technically already built, but doesn't yet have the mods or personality core activated. And then we tweak the appearance. So we'll do that after sending her through the genetics department for the desired changes that you need. It will all be very cool and smooth. You should hear from me very soon," she said.

"Thanks Barbara, you are very wonderful," I said.

"So are you Jack!" she was so warm in her voice that I had warm fuzzies.

Long silence...

"Sorry Barbara...I can't afford you Ligas...I'm sorry. I know you and I felt something. But a Liga would bankrupt me," I said.

She sighed, "This is when you use that saying that life isn't fair. Thanks Jack." I thought I heard a sniffle as she hung up.
