The next day, lying on her bed in between the thick sheets; Demi stared at the ceiling and has her mind on the works. After taking the long drive from the restaurant to Toluca Lake, she has decided on one important matter. She must break up with Trace.
Fresh in her mind, she stood there with her mouth hanging and her eyes glued to the small screen of her best friend’s Iphone. As if it was craved in her head, she saw her so-called boyfriend, Trace Cyrus acting intimately with an unknown girl. They were hugging and kissing each other. It is definitely something that Demi doesn’t want to see at all.
However, in all of that, deep inside; she thought of something different, an advantage. One name. Bradley Watson.
She felt guilty for leaving him hanging last night. It was supposed to be the best night ever because she was spending it with him.
Their second kiss last night was so magical and addictive but something that made her stop was guilt. She was still involved with Trace. They didn’t actually end their relationship. She still tied to him. Sometimes she questions herself, why is love so complicated? Why is love so sweet? Why is it so dramatic?
RING. RING. RING.
Her phone was ringing. Quickly, she moved across her bed and grabbed it on the table by the bed. Gentle touch across the screen, she opened the text and it reads;
“I know that it’s hard but I just want to let you know that I got your back. I can wait for you. You know where to find me.”
It’s from Bradley. “Aww…”
How sweet of him. She has known this young man for almost a month and here he is being the sweetest guy on Earth. He’s a gentleman. It’s hard to find a guy like him these days. However, in all of that, he’s pretty mysterious too. Demi doesn’t know much about Bradley. The facts that she learned were that he was a new cast member of Wizards of Waverly Place, he’s a part-time waiter and he’s British. There is one thing that she ultimately sure about him. The guy cares for her.
“Demi?” a knock on the door was heard and Dallas Lovato went in dressed in a bath robe and her hair was pretty messy. “Hey D, breakfast are ready. Get off your butt and get jiggy down A.S.A.P.” Pulling the sheets off, revealing her younger sister on the bed. “C’mon sleepyhead!”
“I’m coming.” Demi replied.
“I don’t get it, seriously Selly, did I do something wrong or offensive or embarrassing that made her ran off like that?” Bradley asked his best friend, Selena.
They were at the Watson’s restaurant sitting at a table for two by the reception. Discussing over a small basket filled with breadsticks and two glasses of orange juice; Selena slowly munching on a piece of bread while Bradley was unleashing his thoughts.
“Maybe I shouldn’t send her that text.” He sighed.
“Bradley, you can’t take it back now.” She speaks out. “It’s all done. It’s too late. Why can’t you just let it go?”
“Because she ran out on me. We were supposed to-“ he halted as he felt her eyes locked on his head. “Um, we nearly has a special moment and then-“ Nice safe Bradley. “She ran out saying she can’t do it… I just don’t get it.”
“Maybe you should just shut up and wait.” She said. “I know Demi. Trust me on this.”
“Do you remember the last time I trust you?” Bradley exaggeratedly began.
