Chapter 6: Clearly not the right thing

Craziness and intense teasing filled up the heated atmosphere creating vapors on the windows and possibly at every glass in the place. Strikes after strikes, the more pins falling the cockier David turns out just to annoy the girls.

However, the girls were not breaking down even a little bit especially Selena who hit the perfect score since she and Demi came along. There’s hope for the girls and it is in the brown of the Latina wizard from Waverly place.

The other guys which include a very annoyed Bradley was not really in the mood of a very competitive yet stupid bowling match which not supposed to take place in the first place. Blame David at this.

Throwing a red bowling ball along the lane but hit only 5 pins instead, David jumped off from his seat and started cheering again.

“Anyone need anything?” Bradley asked, standing up from the seat and slowly moving away from the lane. He sighed and looked over at his friends, waiting.

“Water for me Brad,” David said. “A pure Champion H2O.”

“Basically it’s water.” Bradley stated.

“No, No. It’s not just water.” David emphasized. “It’s CHAMPION water only for a Champion.”

Bradley blinked his eyes just walked away. “Whatever.” He added. Walking pass the group of girls from earlier, waving a little at them, he headed over to the food stalls to grab some drinks from his friends.

Right there, Demi was ordering foods for her team. She was leaning against the counter as the seller getting her order on a paper plates and put them on a tray.

“Hi.” He greeted her.

“Hi.” Her face slowly lights up as a soft cute smile formed on her face. He could see her brown eyes clearly underneath the light orange ceiling lights but underneath that smile, pain swirling clearly in her eyes.

“May I take your order?” the female cashier speaks up, breaking the vibe there.

Shaking his head, he blinked his eyes and faced the cashier with his mouth still hanging. “Um.” Closing it quickly, he open up again and said, “4 cokes and 1 water, please.” The cashier nodded and headed over to the mini glass-door fridge to take his order.

A sudden cheer coming from the furthest lane was heard from the food stalls which caused both Bradley and Demi to turn and expecting the same dancing routine by Henrie. Except it were Nicole and Chelsea on the lane instead mimicking David’s signature victory dance. They added some female touches to it which made heads turned at their direction even more especially the males in the bowling alley. Some cheered along and some whistled.

From afar, Bradley could see Selena holding her stomach trying her very best not to laugh at David who was sulking like he ate a sour candy.

“Things sure change places tonight.”

He slowly turned to the girl next to him. Looking down a little, he noticed the same smile he seen earlier engraved on her face. He asked, “What do you mean?”

Her face lights up a bit and replied, “Girls are going to win now. No offence to the boys.”

“None taken.” He said. “Boys can be competitive. Sometime, they can be an ass.” Balancing 4 cokes plus a bottle of ‘Champion’ water for David, he stated, “Sort of like the one earlier today… the guy who thrashed your room. What’s his deal? Seriously? Is he a friend?”

Taking the tray of foods and drinks, she froze for a second and drew out, “More than a friend.” She forced a smile before she headed off to the girls.
