As Lillian returned home from the Royal palace, she went out to the courtyard to find her brother's. As she stepped outside, she saw Shin... or was it Shane. She could never tell the difference from the back or far away. Having twin brothers were annoying, specially when they pretended that she never existed. Lillian stepped closer before calling "Brother's!" Shane's yellow eyes fell on her and he smiled. "Welcome back little sister, was there any Army General looking for a new daughter?" He asked sarcastically.

Shane was never really any fun unless they were alone. He pretended not to care about her or Shin but, he does. When ever someone bullied Lillian, he was like a ninja, appearing out of nowhere with his fists engulfed in flames.
" Not today big brother, seems your stuck with me for a while longer."
Lillian responded with light humour in her voice. Shane stared at her and gave an evil smile " Well then, we must lock you up in a chest and sell you to some Earth Kingdom solider? Or what do you think?" Lillian looked up at her brother and smiled " I don't think you'd be able to live without me big brother". Shane smiled at her and picked her up onto his shoulders and ran around in the courtyard " I would be a firebender without fire if you were to disappear my dear sister! " Lillian laughed as Shane threw her up and before he could catch her, Shin appeared out of nowhere and caught his baby sister and tickled her all over on the floor. Tears were threatening to escape Lillian's eyes as she was laughing.

Shin and Shane stood up and held her hands at each side, as the swung her up and down, Shin took a deep breath and exhaled, flames escaping his mouth. " How about we go have some  fun by the mountain base before father kills us with firbending training?" Shin suggested with a sarcasm in his voice. Lillian's face filled with a large grin at her brother. "She's giving you that weird look again Shin!" Shane said in a panic. Shin's face filled with fear " N-now Lillian, we are going to take things s-slower than last time. We don't want you to get hurt, and remember Shane and I have been doing this since we were 6 years old." Shin spoke in a worried tone. As he looked up at Shane for some back up Lillian jumped forward and using her flames to propel her.

Shane sighed " Even though we are a few years older, she has mastered most of the "training" that we have been giving her a lot faster than planned. Even though grandmother can't oversee us anymore, I'm sure she'd say the same thing"

" Shin! Shane! Your just as slow as a slugcrab! I'm going to be the first one there!" yelled Lillian.

The two boys shared a mischievous glare and started running after Lillian. All three children. We're laughing and enjoying them selves.

"You better run Lilly!!! Here we come!!!" The boys yelled in union.

-----------------------------------------------------------
" Again!!!" yelled General Thorn. Both boys stood in front of their father. Swaying their arms in the same sequence as they have done ten times before. You could hear the soft cracking of the lightning being formed. Lillian was sitting in the apple tree watching with wonder. She felt like a proud sibling to know that both her brothers could bend lightning at their own will. But it came at a price... Father would push them until they no longer could stand, until their finger tips smelt of burnt flesh. Until they finally got it right. Lillian was exceeding in her training and was happy that she caught everything quickly. Father said that she would be joining her brothers soon. There was a bright flash and then she looked at her bothers, their heads were bowed to their father as he dismissed them.

Lillian jumped down the tree and ran up to them with full speed, she jumped on Shin's back, but before she could say anything, she was thrown off. Shin was angry, he turned to face Lillian and frowned before yelling at her. " What is the matter with you?!?!? Can't you see I'm busy training!!!? Your such a pain!!!" Shin stormed away to the training blocks and Shane stood and stared at him. He knelt down and placed his hand on his sister's shoulder and spoke " Just give us some space Little sister, father gave us an order that we are not so fond of. Maybe you should go play with your dolls?" Shane stood up and walked away. Shin had never said such things to her before and never in such a tone. Feeling the sting of her tears forming her eyes, she stood up and ran to the mountain base. There was a secret cave that only she knew about that looked horrible on the outside, but on the inside it was like a whole new world.

As Lillian entered the cave, she gave in. Crying her heart out as she sang the lullaby

Do not shed your crystal tears.
Take a breath and know that I am here.
Look up at the great, blue endless sky.
Take a breath and know that it is time to fly.
Today Will be tomorrow's yesterday.
Roll back your shoulders, and fly, fly away.

Once she was done. Her crystals light faded and it fell back against her chest. Her throat was dry and her eyes were burning and feeling heavy. She slowed down her breathing and started walking back home. It was sundown, it was time to go home and find her brother's.

* at home in Lillian's twin brother's bedroom*

"How can he just send us off like that?" Shin asked his brother shocked. Shane gazed out the window in deep thought. "It's like... we're his secret weapons! What about Mother and Lillian?" Shin spoke. Shane turned and faced his brother "I'm not getting on that ship!" Shin exclaimed. Shane walked towards his brother and placed his hand on his shoulder before taking a deep breath. Shin looked at his brother as they stood in silence. The sounds of birds entered the room and so did a certain glow. Shin was tearing up and humming... "We need to leave, we need to go somewhere safe. Specially for us..." Shin stuttered. Shane looked at his brother, although Shin was just as strong as him, maybe even stronger, he was still a 13 year old boy, they both were. They weren't ready to face this 100 year war. "Pack your things... We leave tonight for the Sky Temple." Shane spoke with no emotion. "What?" Shin gasped... He watched his brother turn to change his shirt. As his shirt slid over his back, he watched the fading glow from his scars. He needed to get out of here. No matter the cost. Shane spoke in a whisper "You either leave with me tonight where we have a fighting chance, or you leave tomorrow morning with Him to your death..." Shin nodded his head and started to pack. as realization ran over him he turned to Shane in shock "What about Lillian? We can't just leave her to be the puppet, she needs us!" he shouted. As Shane turned to face his brother and answered.

*Lillian pov*

Lillian walked through the door, but found no one in the dinning room. The house was quiet so she walked up to her bedroom. As she was walking down the hall she heard the harsh whispers of her brothers "What about Lillian! We can't just leave her to be the puppet, she needs us!" said Shin in an anger tone "So what!? I'm not staying around to be someone's perfect soldier! Lillian will be fine! We can come back and get her when she's older!" Shane answered with an even more angered tone. Lillian took a deep breath and stepped into their room. Both boys stared at their little sister wondering if she heard anything. " Lil..." Shin started but was interrupted by Lillian as she bowed her head " Brothers... I wish you safe travels... But do not come back for me, if you have a reason to leave me here alone, then you have no reason to come back for me. " a sob escaped her mouth as she walked out the room and ran to her own. As she fell onto her bed, humming the lullaby. The light of the crystal filled the room and so did Lillian's small flame that she ran across her fingers. Third time in one day that she has shed her crystal tears. Granny Scarlet would be so disappointed....

As you can see Lillian maybe very carefree and full of spirit, she sees no wrong in anyone that she loves. She refuses to show her emotions and accepts life no matter what.
