"We are watching the Titanic next." Mila told Val as she re-entered the living room with a bowl of popcorn in her hands.

Val sat on Mila's couch staring at the screen as Love & Basketball played. She nodded her head at what Mila had said before digging into her own bowl of M&Ms and stuffing her mouth.

"I love this scene." Blurted Mila as she plopped down onto her chair.

She was referring to the scene where Monica and Quincy played for each other clothes. Mila thought the scene was the best one in the movie. You could tell just how much chemistry the actors had.

"My favorite scene is when they play each other at the end. Oh No. It's when they first sleep together after the prom. I don't know. I really love this film as a whole. Such a classic." Rambled Val.

Mila looked at her in her peripheral vision.

Val's eyes were completely fixiated on the television screen as she sat criss crossed on Mila's sofa in a beige graphic tee and a pair of cargo shorts. Her hair was up in a high ponytail with a few strands running away from the scrunchy she held it in.

For the past two weeks, her and Mila have been building quite the friendship. After Mila drove Val home the day they met up with Ms. Parks, the two set up a day to meet up and bond over some things.

If they would be working together with a job description that stated they had to talk and discuss with one another, they might as well start practicing it now.

Mila had to say, after meeting up with Val these couple of weeks, that she was fond of her. They got along greatly and seemed to have the same interest in everything.

"I might have to leave halfway through Titanic to pick up my daughter." Val sighed after checking her phone to read a text message from one of the caretakers at the summer camp she dropped her little minion off at.

Apparently, Izzy no longer wanted to be held hostage within the container that was her summer camp and Valerie never wanted to keep her baby in a place she did not want to be. It was time for her to come back home. Besides, school would start back up in three weeks anyway.

Mila almost choked on the popcorn that she was stuffing down her throat.

Out of all the times Val and her have spoken over the past couple of weeks, never had Val mentioned anything about being a mother.

"You're a mom?" Gasped Mila.

Valerie chuckled at her reaction. Nobody but her mother and Val's best friend from college knew about Izzy. Not even Dylan knew yet.

"Yep. Her name is Izzy and she is currently bugging the hell out of her caretakers. Here goes a picture of her." Val stated as she scrolled through her phone to find a picture of her baby.

Once finding a good one, she showed the screen to Mila who smiled at the baby girl in the photo. Izzy was beautiful.

She had long hair just like her mommy and a snaggel tooth smile. Though, it was Izzy's eyes that really intrigued Mila. They were this pretty hazel colored that she was sure that she had seen before.

"That's one beautiful little girl. How old is she?"

"My baby will turn eight in September." Val gushed.

She turned the screen back towards her and stared at the image.

Izzy reminded Val so much of her father. The only thing Izzy received from Val was her hair color and nose. Everything else was from Xavier.

"Are you planning her a party?" Mila asked.

"Its usually just us two on her birthday. All of her family resides back in the big apple."
