Chapter Twenty

"That has to be one of the best dates I've been on." Sergio said while walking into the elevator.

I laughed. "Or you being sarcastic or what?"

He shook his head. "From ditching a fancy dinner, to running from your baby daddy and then landing us at a McDonald's drive through. I have to say this date was a success."

"You have never taken a girl out on a date at McDonald's I assume."

"No I haven't. It was all about the fancy things."

"Lucky for you, I hate fancy. I'm more of a sales/coupon girl."

He laughed as if it was the funniest thing he has heard. "I guess you're a keeper."

After running away from Neymar and his date, Sergio and I were obviously starving. We couldn't go back to the restaurant we were just at, only because we didn't want to face those two again. If they were still there. We conveniently drove past a McDonald's, and had a mutual agreement that McDonald's would be the best deal to fill our hunger.

The elevator stopped at my floor after a few short minutes. While walking out, I haven't noticed Sergio had a grip on my hand, and was leading me towards my apartment.

I had no idea if this was a fling or the real thing. But all I was going to do was enjoy the moment, and hope for the best.

Neymar and Sergio were two completely different people, physically and mentally. But I couldn't help but compare them.

I reached into my clutch and grabbed the house keys. We walked in, and Sergio's was no longer holding my hand. I felt a little disappointment. I had wanted to hold onto his hand for a little longer.

Sergio plopped himself on the couch.

I sat myself on the single couch and prepared myself to ask him the question I was dreading to know.

"When are you leaving Barcelona?"

He removed his eyes from the ceiling and looked at me. I could see a hint of sadness in his brown eyes.

"Tonight actually."

"Oh." I whispered.

"I wish I could stay longer, but I have to go back to training. I have a match in a few days."

I nodded. Him being a footballer had slipped my mind. We both had to face reality again.

"I should go get ready for my flight," Sergio sighed getting up from the couch, "Again I had an incredible time being with you these past few days."

I smiled and got up from the couch I was lounging on.

"If your ever back in Barcelona, just give me a call."

"Likewise." He grinned.

We both stood by the door, not knowing what was suppose to happen now.

In a matter of seconds, Sergio was up close. It was to the point where to go look up his nostrils and stare straight into his brown eyes. My breath hitched when his soft yet rough hands were on my cheeks. I knew where this was leading up too, but I couldn't help but feel surprised.

I could feel the adrenaline in my heart when he started leaning in closer and closer until his lips were settled on mine. It was a quick peck on the lips.
