chapter 21

Third person pov

Joy woke up feeling really groggy but not as bad as she had felt yesterday. She felt a wet towel on her head and picked it off looking around her surroundings, she realized she wasn't in her bed. Next to her was a stuffed animal and some medicine. As she moved to go grab the stuffed animal she felt some one beside her on the floor. After getting a better look she found it was Irene who was sitting next to a bucket of water with her head rested on the bed. She got up as joy moved.

"Oh you're awake, how do you feel?" She asked placing her hand on my forehead. Joy was very confused, Irene had been acting very pissy and mad at her for days now seeing her taking care of her joy didn't understand

"Um I'm fine" joy replied clearing her throat

"What are you doing here?" Joyasked

"You were burning up last night so we moved you to seulgi's bed and I watched over you, oh come to think of it you need to take your medicine." Irene said moving around to get water and some pills

"You're not mad anymore?" Joy asked as Irene was popping the pills out of the packet she paused for a moment then smiled.

"I guess not. After seeing what sungjae did for you yesterday, I can really tell you guys are in love, who am I to criticize you" she replied

"What sungjae did? What did he do?" I asked

"He brought you medicine and a stuffed animal and he stood up for himself and your relationship that was admirably of him" she said

"Now come on take you're meds you have to go to that launching event, we can't have you looking sick" Irene replied, joy nodded and smiled obliging to her request.

Flashback to last night

"Whatever just, just don't hurt her" Irene said as she walked past sungjae she got a couple of feet away before she heard him yell after her

"Did I do something to you?" She paused and turned around to him

"Huh?" She asked

"Did I do something to offend you or something because I've noticed how rude you are to me, I've been biting my tongue because you are older but I just don't get it, what did I do?" He replied. Irene was fuming

"I don't trust you" she said plainly, sungjae furrowed his eyebrows in confusion

"You don't trust me?" He asked

"Yeah I don't trust you, and I don't like you hanging around sooyoung you're a bad influence" she said

"Wha... how am I a bad influence? And what did I do to not have your trust" He asked.

"How can I trust someone who willingly betrays his best friend to steal his girlfriend?" She replied, leaving sungjae shocked

"Wha...what are you talking about?" He said playing dumb.

"Oh give it up I know about you and her you guys aren't exactly great at hiding it" Irene replied

"What? How?...I thought we were being careful" he mumbled to himself

"How could you date sooyoung when her and ilhoon just broke up, it hasn't even been a month! Isn't he your best friend you know how much it would hurt him to find out?" She said
