Chapter 11

Sungjae's pov

She didn't pick up I had called her four times. I needed to let her know I was okay with her and hyung, I had spent the whole day ignoring her text of the picture of her and hyung. They looked so happy and after glooming after it all day I decided I needed to let them be happy and if I can't have her as my girlfriend I wanted her as a friend. We had a bond no matter how much we try to deny it and being friends is the closest I can get to her I'll take it.'

I called her again and when she didn't pick up I left her a voice message " hey sooyoungah sorry for not getting back to you sooner but I think that's a great idea I like amusement parks and um yeah we should talk to the producers about it... um so yeah call me or text me when you get a chance... yeah Hahah OK I'll hang up now bye" the next morning joy called back and she was very stoic in her tone that was the last I heard from her before we went to film for the next episode

2 weeks later

While filming we were a lot more professional off camera and we had gotten a lot more awkward with each other. After filming she almost bolted to get to her car, almost as if she was avoiding me so I rushed over before they could take off and knocked on the window I waited a couple of seconds before she finally opened the car "hey..." she said "hi... so I'm not sure but I feel like you have been ignoring me inbetween filming I don't know did I do something?" I asked because frankly it was bothering me "what no no no you did nothing wrong you are perfect I'm just being stupid" she said with a frustrated sigh and running her hands through her hair "I just... I feel awkward because I feel like if I I'm cheating on ilhoon oppa if I acted like before and I know you said you were OK with me and oppa but I feel guilty" she blurted running her hands over her face. " hey hey hey it's ok" I said stopping her hands from going through her hair for an umpteenth time "hey I'm ok with you and hyung for real and I know you don't want to feel like you are cheating but we are friends and I like our friendship before this whole mess so don't feel guilty ok? I'm ok hyung is ok so don't feel bad and don't put all this stress on yourself ok "she looked up with a little bit of tears in her eyes which prompted me to hug her close "don't cry we can just hangout like friends on the show we don't have to do anything you are not comfortable with ok?" I felt her nod against my chest after a minute she lifted her head looking cute with her crying face "thanks I really needed that" she said, I took her chin in my hand and squeezed her cheek "stop crying you look ugly when you cry" she slapped my hand away and hit me on the chest "haha funny, shut up" she said wiping her tears with her sleaves. We heard a throat clear "um yeah joy we have to go, I didn't want to interrupt your moment her manager noona said awkwardly standing beside us, instinctively I pulled away "oh yeah well I'll see you in what a month?" I asked "well more like a month and a week we are going on a trip then remember?" She replied "ok bye... friend" I said waving as I walked away " yeah bye bye friend" she said smiling.

*A month later

I had today off and I was planning on staying in bed all day but I got woken up by yelling from my hyung's in the living room I tried to ignore it but after 5 minutes of constant yelling I headed outside to find out what was going on.

When I got there all of them except minhyuk who was filming were huddled up in a bunch around a laptop "what's going on? Why are you all so loud damn" I say in an irritated tone "oh oppa good morning" I heard joys voice from the laptop screen when I looked at the laptop joy, yeri, seulgi and wendy all on the laptop screen goofyly laughing and pointing. "Oppa your hair is everywhere, you kinda look like a hobo" joy said giggling " but he still looks cute" yeri says smiling shyly. shocked by this I took a moment to compose myself and answered "oh hi joyshi, yerishi,seulgishi, wendyshi, umm what's going on here?" It had been a while since I saw joy we had talked on the phone a couple of times talking about things friends should talk about, and she has asked me for gift ideas for ilhoon hung a couple of times but we had kept our distance relatively, even though I was trying to get over her it still pained me a little when she called me to ask about something related to ilhoon hung but I was ok, we had agreed to be friends and that's what made her happy so I was OK. Changsub hyung jumped up and hugged ilhoon hyung "we caught these two love birds video chatting being all lovey dovey and we had to of course crash it and get to hang out with red velvet" he said with a huge childish grin "oh um I didn't know everyone knew about you guy's relationship" I said scratching my head and feeling slightly uncomfortable "oh yeah I knew since the beginning" Wendy chimed "the rest found out a couple of weeks ago" she continued. " I guess it's great you and joy didn't have feelings for each other or this would have been really awkward" seulgi said with a small chuckle everyone else began to laugh except me and joy "um yeah it was fortunate that joy is like a little sister to me" I said with an awkward smile looking on the screen I saw joy with her head down and replied with a small "yeah" "OK OK so now you are all caught up can we get back to our previous discussion?" eunkwang hyung chimed in pushing me to sit down "oh yeah we just have to ask our manager unnie if we can because you know we are a popular girl group we can't just wander about" yeri said flipping her hair "well our new dorm is very secluded and in-laws need to have a good bonding relationship right he said prompting everyone to nod, confused I asked "I'm sorry what's going on again?" "Since both groups have no schedule tomorrow we were gonna have a secret karaoke party here at the dorm to get to know each other you know since joy and ilhoon are dating and you and joy are doing we got married it's about time we all get to know each other" changsub hyung answered clapping his hands crazily "but isn't that too risky for a girl group to come to a boy group dorm? What if they get caught" I said worried, eunkwang hyung clamped his hand on my mouth "oh shut up you fun killer they have disguises" I sat back and watched them discuss the elaborate plan involving masks and wigs and makeup before heading back to my room to catch up on my sleep even though I spent the rest of the day restlessly over thinking everything.

Joy's POV

*The next day

We had to basically beg our manager unnie to allow us to go to btob's dorm today and she only agreed after seeing our disguises which, I had to admit was pretty impressive. We had been to many other idol dorms before to hangout but usually it was someone from SM so it wasn't a big deal but since this was btob who not only were from a different company but I was also on we got married with sungjae and dating ilhoon so that made this more risky and I was nervous but the other members were excited and I didn't want to ruin it for them. Currently we had managed to get to the dorm building without getting caught and we were on our way up to the dorm in the elevator and we took the time to take off our ridiculous wigs and masks and tried to get ourselves presentable. I was of course excited to see ilhoon oppa but we saw each other all the time, I found myself being more nervous to see sungjae oppa. When we got there yeri excitedly rang the doorbell a billion times and a second later changsub, peniel and eunkwang all answered the door. All five of us bowed and greeted them "hello" they told us to come in and when we got there we were all shocked by the over the top decorations and food in the room "whoa what the hell happened" Irene unnie asked " welcome to casa de btob" Changsub said excitedly I watched as the other members split up looking over the dorm and talking as if they had known each other for a while meanwhile I looked around for ilhoon and sungjae while looking around I felt a hand on my shoulder I looked back to see ilhoon oppa and smiled "hey you" he said hugging me " hey you" said back " this is a little crazy right? I can't believe we are doing this" he said as we stood by each other with our hands around each other "I know right, I don't think it was a good idea, you know two crazy groups meeting" I replied "I think you are right. He said smiling down at me we were caught in our bubble until the front door opened and sungjae and hungsik walked in with groceries bags right when I saw Sungjae I let my hand fall from ilhoon oppa's waist "hey oppa I was wondering where you went" I said shyly I saw him look down at ilhoon oppa's hand still on my waist and with a small smile lifted up the grocery bags "we went to go get some more food". Upon hearing more food Irene unnie rushed over "oh more food!" She squealed following them into the kitchen.

After I while of the groups hanging out singing dancing and playing around crazily I went to use the bathroom on my way back not looking where I was going I tripped and before I fell I was caught by some one who hugged me to their chest, I looked up to see Sungjae and my heart started began to race crazily.

Hey y'all sorry for the super late update school took priority but I'm done for the year and I'm home for summer break so I will be updating more often so look forward to it!
Sad news that sungjae and joys last episode is this Saturday 😭 I'm sad, I'm gonna miss them but they are both busy so let's just wish them good luck with their lives I hope we get some moments on shows! Anywhoo I hope you guys liked this chapter!
