I closed my eyes and took in a deep breath, laying on my mattress.

What's behind my skull.

My breath was steady in the moment, going along with the slow beat of the song.

I could feel myself humming, the vibrations rolling down my neck and along my torso.

My thoughts drifted into somewhere unknown and well known, the darkness.

I turned so I was laying on my side, facing the wall a few feet away from my bed.

My hand made it's way to the end of my sheets, which lie on the floor, due to that fact that I do not have a bed frame.

I felt the paper and pen I had safely preserved. I carefully grabbed both of them, turning once again so I'm laying on my back.

I lay the paper on my chest, my hand over it.

What's under my skin.

The tears building up finally fell.

I lifted the paper above my head.

Slowly opening my eyes, I can faintly make out the words I had written just days before.

I pushed myself up, walking over to my small desk and signing my name on the white paper.
