[A/N: Another song fic! But it's angst................

Don't kill me plez

Based on Ed Sheeran's photograph, the most beautiful fucking song ever don't even get me started on the lyrics]

Loving can hurt, loving can hurt sometimes,
But it's the only thing that I know
When it gets hard, you know it can get hard sometimes,
It is the only thing that makes us feel alive

Kise came back from a hectic day of practice that day, but when he entered his shared apartment he saw you aimlessly flicking through channels on the TV. He frowned when you didn't show him any sign of greeting. It wasn't like it used to be. When he came back, you used to scurry from wherever you were, jump into his arms and cling onto him like you were never going to see him again. But those acts of love started fading away when Kise rarely came home, when he used to sleep over at his teammates house, or when he got drunk and caused a ruckus in the house.

Kise called out to you, but you refused to look at him. He called you again, and again, and again. You wanted to respond, but something so stubborn in you said no. So that was when Kise got furious and yelled. The room was filled with harsh comments and screams echoed through the walls. It was like this every day of the week and it got so often that you were used to it and you had already memorized the words that you were going to say to him. Back and forth words were thrown and so were things and it all stopped when you got seriously hurt. Kise flung a glass at you, making you raise your arms to defend yourself, and soon you found blood dripping down your hands. Kise's eyes widened as he tried to apologize but you only continued to scream at him because the pain was no match to what you were feeling on the inside.

Fighting was all you ever did with Kise, it was like a daily routine. Yet, you found it interesting, because it was the only thing that made your blood rush through your veins and excitement to course through every single part of your body. No matter how much the both of you argued, you always found yourself snuggling together with him on the couch after, as if everything that had been said was sucked up through some vacuum and disappeared into thin air. You loved Kise, Kise loved you, but how long exactly, can mutual love last? Forever? Maybe not. Love cannot be forced, nor can it be made or destroyed, but it can be forgotten.

We keep this love in a photograph
We made these memories for ourselves
Where our eyes are never closing
Hearts are never broken
And time's forever frozen still

Enough was enough. You decided that you were going to completely cut ties with Kise, knowing that sticking together would only make things worse for the both of you. Kise wasn't too keen on it, but he knew that to be happy, for your sake, he had to do it. There was no other way. The day you left him was the night after an argument, and as usual things were strewn everywhere and when you stormed out the door, you slammed it so hard that a picture frame on the wall broke and fell down to the cold hard ground making the glass cover shatter into a million pieces which was impossible to recover. Kise picked the picture up, and slowly let the tears slide from his eyes right onto the centre of the paper. He remembered the day he first confessed, and you had agreed to his love. He wanted to take a picture to celebrate. He always kept things as a remembrance for the both of you, but he couldn't help but regret it now, because this piece of remembrance only caused him more pain than the happiness that he had expected it to give him.

So you can keep me
Inside the pocket of your ripped jeans
Holding me closer 'til our eyes meet
You won't ever be alone, wait for me to come home

Loving can heal
Loving can mend your soul
And it's the only thing that I know

He tried to move on, but he simply just couldn't stop thinking about you. Whenever he laid his eyes on another girl, he saw you, whenever he touched another girl, he felt you, whenever he thought of another girl, he missed you. His friends did their best to convince you, but you weren't having it. You knew that you broke up with him for a reason, but was that reason, really worth it?

I swear it will get easier
Remember that with every piece of ya
And it's the only thing we take with us when we die

He tried many things. He sent you sweet texts, but you blocked him, he sent you flowers, but you threw them away, he gave you his heart, but you stomped on it. What else was there to give? You still loved him, oh yes you did. You wanted him back, but your mind kept telling you that he didn't want you. Why else would he have yelled at you every night? You thought about it, when finally you realized. He was under pressure. Basketball, modelling, school, fangirls, loosing to Aomine, Seirin, practice, dieting....how much could he take? He had you too, and you were one big package. Kise tried to please you more than he tried to please everyone else. There were countless times where he had cancelled most of his plans, just for you, but all you did was act as if he didn't want to spend time with you. You hated yourself for being so selfish. You hated you. But every time you did, Kise would always be there....to love you.

And if you hurt me
That's OK, baby, only words bleed
Inside these pages you just hold me
And I won't ever let you go

He wouldn't give up. No matter how many times you rejected his pleads, he knew you still had a place in your heart for him. That was when you saw him standing outside your house, looking up to your window, hoping to catch a glance of the girl who held his heart in place, yet pushed it down to the max. He picked up a small rock, his hands trembling slightly. He chucked it at your window, waiting for you to respond. But you didn't come. He waited until it was dark out, and there was no sign of you. He sighed and felt the tears coming, so he leaned against a lamp post, letting it all out. Maybe he should just give up, maybe you were over him, maybe he was wrong all along. But then the window opened.

When I'm away
I will remember how you kissed me
Under the lamppost
Back on 6th street
Hearing you whisper through the phone....

He looked up through his tears, and he couldn't have been happier to see you standing there, your hair cascading down your back, a few strands falling over your face. He smiled and lifted it up, the picture. You eyes focused on the small scrap of paper that was left and let out a gasp. He was leaving for America tomorrow, you remembered him telling you. He saw the tears in your eyes so he pulled something out from his pocket and showed it to you.

It was a flower. The Anemone. It symbolized anticipation.

Kise placed it on the ground and took a few steps back

Kise placed it on the ground and took a few steps back. He then said a few words, so softly you couldn't hear, but you knew what he said anyway.

"Wait for me to come home."
