Justin sighed. It would be his 25th birthday soon. In just 2 days actually. Everything was so crazy. It'd been a long time since he's been able to sit down and take a breath. These past few years have been most tiring on his faith. It was going to be one of those rare nights he was lying in bed by himself. Every night, he felt there was an empty void, even with the usual women there.

His eyes closed.

"Daddy!" A voice called and Justin turned around, even though he had no idea why.

He saw a little boy, dark blonde with big round eyes staring into his soul.

"What's wrong, buddy?" Justin asked, but felt he was only spectating this scene playing out before his eyes.

"Will you come to my Birthday?"

Justin jolted awake, sweat on his forehead. Oh damn... okay. It was just a dream. Who was that boy? Why? How come sometimes he'd dream and...

He forced himself to sit up from his bed and stop questioning himself. He had to get dressed and pick up his mom soon to go buy a cake.

As he sat in the drivers seat, Justin adjusted his sunglasses and sweater. He looked out the window to see his mom scurrying over to the car.

"Honey, can you come to Jazmyn's sixth grade play? It's her 12th birthday soon too- Justin you haven't seen her in a long time," Pattie asked as she slipped in.

"Well, March 30th has been marked on my calendar for a long time- Mom- don't you have time to just say hi to me anymore?" Justin frowned.

"Well, do you?" she questioned quite harshly, "Anyways- are you coming?"

"I'll try to make it," Justin mumbled.

Pattie sighed and tried to make conversation, "Jazmyn has a big role in the play. She said some pre-schooler's going to steal the show though."

"Huh," Justin sounded, not minding his mom much.

"Yea, he's got a beautiful voice or something. He's one of the leads also. Imagine, a pre-schooler up on that stage. Jazmyn says she is so jealous of him. He's like an angel or something," his mom continued, now babbling.

"Mom, okay," Justin sighed, "look, Twist told me to get some cash, so I'm going to stop at the bank afterwards." He knew his mom hated Lil Twist- but he should be able to be friends with whoever he wants right? Everyone was always telling him who he should be and stand for. He got so fed up sometimes.

Pattie just became quiet. She knew she couldn't effect him. Ever since years ago, she had no say in his decisions anymore.

Ariana leaned over the middle of the car to hand a little boy a fifty dollar bill.

"Julian, you can look at which cake you want. I'm going to park the car, okay baby? I'll be really quick. It's that shop right in front- go ahead," she smiled, "be very careful!"

He smiled at his mom, hopped out the car, shut the door, and Ariana went to find a parking spot after she saw him safely enter the bakery. Thank God this was a rich neighborhood, otherwise there'd be no way she'd let her 4- almost five year old- to go there himself. Must also be why the spots were all stuffed with Porches and BMWs.

She felt worried even though she knew that Julian was very intelligent and capable of much. Ariana eyed an open area in the corner of the pavement. She headed towards there immediately.

Justin grinned. Fully packed? No problem. He pulled over to the red line and parked. His mom only rolled her eyes, too annoyed to object.

Justin noticed and felt a bit guilty, "Mom, just get out and buy the cake, I'll be back after I check the bank first."

"Justin," Pattie objected, "I want you to go buy the cake instead. Let me take the car and get your money- how much?" He had seperated himself from the past far too much. Justin was like this cold, new person. He never looked back much. It was like he was afraid of what's behind him.

He mumbled, "50,000" as he slipped out the car.

Justin dragged his feet as he walked over to the cake shop. He looked back once to see his mom speeding away and he knew she was pissed. He was a little embarrassed. He knew his mom thought he was like Lil Twist's bitch or something. Everyone did. Maybe he should do something about it this year.

He looked at the sign of the bakery for a second- Cakes and Candles. Where he'd used to go every birthday. This used to be his designated caterer for his birthday every year- until the past few. He'd just been too occupied. Justin sighed. Well, might as well go in and buy a cake. Just which ever one he saw first.

Justin pushed open the door, a bell rang and a little boy- no older than 5- with big round eyes turned to look at him.
