I Can't Kill Her

Natsu's P.O.V

I stood there frozen.

"No! I can't there has to be another way." I yelled.

"Natsu, would you rather one person die, or everyone on Earth die?" Mavis asked me. Why does this have to be me? Why do I have to kill her?

"Why does it have to be me?!" I yelled.

"The person who killed her on Earthland has to do the same here in order for the spell to work." Mavis said.

The moment of her future self dying kept replaying in my head.

"I-I can't, not after what happened the last time." I said.

"Natsu, I'll get Wendy out of the room." Gradine said.

"I guess I have no choice..." I said.

"Natsu I don't want to do this either, but it's for the sake of humanity." She muttered.

"Shut up! From what it sounds like, you don't give a damn about her!" I yelled.

"Natsu, you don't understand!" She yelled.

"Natsu you can go in now." Gradine said.

I walked in, she was sleeping.

"You'll need this." Dad said handing me a dagger.

I closed the door, and locked it.

I held the dagger inches away from her heart.

'Natsu look, I got my Fairy Tail mark!'

I stopped.

'It's more fun when we're together.'

'I believe in you Natsu. I have ever since I joined the guild.'

'I wanted to have more... Adventures.'

I stopped completely, I threw the dagger on the ground, and hugged her.

"I-I can't do it!" I sobbed.

"I can't kill you!" I sobbed more.

"Natsu, what's wrong?" A girls voice asked me.

I looked up and saw Lucy awake.

"Are you alright?" She asked me.

"Yeah..." I muttered.

"What to much of a coward to carry out your deed, brother." A voice said from behind us.

"Zeref..." I said.

"What deed?" Lucy asked.

"To kill you." He said.

"What?" She whispered.

"Let me carry out the deed brother." He said.

"You can't only the person who killed her on Earthland can!" I yelled.

"Exactly, I created you, so in a way, I killed her." He said.

"What?" Lucy yelled.

"Brother if you're not gonna carry out the deed..." I was confused by what he said, but with a snap of his fingers we were all surrounded by smoke and we were gone.
