- Year Fourteen, May 17th, The Finale -
Eliza had become certain that all good things come to an end, and that is why she had expected something to go wrong. After all, if she was to be right as she normally was, something would have to end her relationship with Chance.
Because soulmates and happy endings didn't exist. They couldn't exist. If anyone deserved to be happy it was her father, and yet her mother had left him to fend for himself with their daughter.
She had spent four happy years with Chance before it came to an end. Four long years, and yet after all that time had passed she had not truly expected him to stay.
She was as grateful for him as the waves were for the moon above which pulled them,
And he loved her more than anyone had ever loved,
But at times emotions were not enough to keep two forces together, especially when so much was pulling them apart.
