I picked a paper and didn’t look at it immediately.

I waited for everyone to say who’s going to be their roommate.

The rolling of names keep going on and lastly...

“Calum is my roommate!” Michael said and run to Calum.

Oh no!

“Marishca, who’s your roommate?” A girl asked.

I looked at the paper and my breath hitched.

“L-luke” I said while stuttering.

Everyone gasped knowing the situation that Luke and I are in.

“Can I switch a roommate?” I asked wearily.

“No. You’re a kill joy.” Ashton’s girlfriend said. I just stayed silent and went to my room.

NEXT DAY

“So guys, stick with your buddies okay?” Ashton said.

Schantall started bitching because she didn’t have Luke as her company but everyone doesn’t care.

I went to the car and Luke sat down next to me. I glared at him.

“You heard Ashton. Stick with your fuck buddies.” I was going to slap him but he caught my hand.

“Oops! I mean buddies.” He said while smirking.

I pulled back my hand and get my earphones in my bag so I can find an excuse to not talk to him.

In the middle of the song Canals by All Time Low, he grabbed one of the ear buds and put it on his ear.

“Give it back!” “No.” I groaned and just looked at the window.

“You’re still the same huh?”

“No I’m not Luke. It’s been 5 years. That doesn’t mean that I didn’t changed just because I still listen to the same songs.”

“But I can see that you’re still the same girl that I loved. I mean, love.”

“Luke, don’t.”

“I’m just stating the truth.”

After that conversation, I did everything so I can hold myself from talking to him because God knows that I am still in love with him.

And to be honest, talking is not the only one that I want to do with him.

And I think playing hard to get is the best way to make it come true.
