54. Tension

Jaz 'Pov'

It's been a couple of days since I told them I killed someone.

It has been really quite in our household and I am totally fine with it, because I do need sometime to recover.

I get up and Jay is sleeping next to me but at a distance, that's how we've been doing it for these past couple of days.

I walk to the bathroom and brush my teeth, take a shower and walk out to my closet.

I wear some sweatpants and a tank top.

I walk into the babies room and they're all sitting on the ground playing.

"Hey my little ones, did you take a bath today?" I ask while leaning in the door frame.

Little Xav shakes his head.

"Yes mom, I did take a shower." Brad says.

Liila just giggles and she runs into the bathroom.

I pick Xavier up and walk to the bathroom with them.

"Brad you better get up too, because I know you didn't take a bath." I say smiling at him.

He huffs, but gets up anyways and follows me.

I bathe them one by one and after that I dress them and we walk into the kitchen.

Zach is at the stove cooking something, it smells really good.

He must've heard us enter, because he turns around.

"Who's my favorite niece and nephews?" He asks opening up his arms.

They all run up to him, yelling 'me'.

I smile and go behind the stove to finish up what he started.

He's making French toast and some bacon.

I grab another pan and start battering some chocolate chip and strawberries pancakes for the kids.

I pour the batter in the pan.

After I finish preparing everything I put the plates with food on the dining table and call them to meal.

They all run straight to the table and sit down.

I give Brad and Liila the strawberry pancakes and Xavier gets the chocolate chip ones.

I set down another plate of French toast and bacon for Zach and I.

We sit down and eat peacefully.

Uhm well not really because the kids are literally eating like pigs.

"Liila." I say stern after she poured pancakes syrup into Brad's hair.

Brad gets mad and grab the powder sugar and throw it in Liila's face.

Jay walks in and gets hit with a plastic plate.

It goes still in the kitchen and they all look at Jay cautiously.

He opens his eyes and smirked an evil smirk.

They all get up and run up to their room.

I sigh.

Zach finishes his plate of food and then he grabs mine and the kids and starts washing the dishes.

"Zach?" I start cautious.

"Jasmine?" He says raising one eyebrow.

I sit on the counter next to where he's washing the dishes.

"We haven't talk for a while now." I say.

"Yes, you're right." He says not looking up at me.

"Are you mad?" I ask him.

"Why would I be mad?"

"Because I murdered someone?" I say shyly.

"Well you did what you had to do."

"Why can't you look at me then?"

"Because when I do look at you, I don't see the sister I knew anymore."

"But you can't expect me to come back as the same person." I say rolling my eyes at him.

I jump off the counter and I walk away.

"I'm scared." I hear him whisper.

"Scared of what Zach?" I ask annoyed.

"Scared of who you've become."

I sigh and walk up to him.

"I'm perfectly fine Zach, the only difference now is that I don't see the world in sparkely rainbows and unicorns anymore, I see how the world really is now and believe me, it is cruel." I say hugging him.

Punky wobbles in with her big belly.

"Are we hugging?!" She asks excited and run up to us to huddle in.

I laugh at how emotional and sensitive Punky has become over the past couple of months she's been pregnant again with another kid since they did already got a kid while I was gone.

We let each other go and I stare at them.

"What?" Zach asks confused.

"You two are so cute together, now I know why you guys are soulmates." I smile at them.

"You have your own soulmate Jasmine." Zach looks at me stern.

I sigh and roll my eyes at him.

"I do not want to talk about it." I say walking out of the house into the backyard.

'Jasmine I miss him' Lydia tells me.

'Lydia, not now' I say annoyed.

'When then, when will it be the right time to talk about it?'

'I do not know, but not now'

I shut her out of my mind and go climb the three right behind the house.

I sit for a long time playing with the flowers the tree grows.

"Jasmine."

"Jayden."

DUN DUN DUN DUN UHM GUYS THE BOOK IS ALMOST OVER I'VE DECIDED WHAT I WANT TO DO WITH THE CHARACTERS YOU'RE GOING TO HATE ME FOR OR MAYBE NOT BUT I'M ALSO SAD OF WHAT I AM GOING TO DO WITH THEM BUT OH WELL LIFE, HOPE YOU'VE ENJOYED IT THO SO TILL NEXT CHAPTER
