I am middle eastern and very proud. I used to hate it and growing up I used to wanna be white so bad and as I grew up and became proud of my heritage I realised that I wanted to be white and I thought "what is wrong with me?"
I love my culture, the food the clothes my language (most of all my eyebrows) but it pisses me the FUCK OFF when people look at me and say "your white" because no I'm not white. Do they even LOOK at my skin colour? It's literally the most tan a middle eastern can get. I put it next to my white friends and you can clearly see the difference but people literally look at me and are like "you are white" and FIGHT ME on it. Piss off???? It's not like I'm white passing because if you met me you would clearly see I'm not white.
I go to a catholic school and they all insist I'm white and that Jesus is white and I give them the most blank stare. IM NOT EVEN BIG ON RELIGION BUT HE AINT WHITE AND NEITHER AM. I.
PISS OFF.
