i'm a mexican female from texas, and growing up everyone expects you to have this one image. everyone expects you to play soccer and wear nike's. everyone thinks you're trouble. americans stereotype us so much. everyone thinks we're all the same! and that's not the case at all, we are our own person! and i also speak for the latino/hispanic community, just because someone speaks spanish it doesn't automatically mean they are mexican. i have a guatemalan friend, and everyone just assumes he's mexican? no, there are so many countries that have spanish as a national language. i shouldn't be stereotyped, ridiculed or doubted because of the color of my skin, or the accent i have when i speak english.
