21. Triolet — That Silent Clot

That silent clot, it took away
   My father with a silent stroke;
His laugh and life and jolly play,
That silent clot it took away
And made my morning's dull and gray.
   By God and Hell, I'd grasp and choke
That silent clot. It took away
   My father with a silent stroke!
