Chapter 20

One year later...

Jacob looked up from his work to see that Connie had entered his office. Her eyes were red from crying and she looked terrified. 
"Jacob"
"Connie, what's wrong?"
"I'm pregnant"
Jacob's pen dropped from his hand. He was not expecting that.

He watched as Connie paced anxiously around his office muttering to herself.
"This can't be happening..."
"Connie" Jacob's voice caused her to stop and look at him. "Sit down"

Connie sat on the sofa in his office and waited nervously for Jacob to get up from his desk and sit down next to her.
Connie anxiously bit her nails as she waited for Jacob to speak.
He held both of her hands in his and grinned.
"That's fantastic!"

Connie managed to force a small smile.

He was never going to forgive her for what she had done.
