"But we have to do something." I argue, not quite sure why Toya is so calm about it all.
"We will do something about it." She soothes, her eyes casually scanning the area around us, rocking Aiden to sleep.
"How?" I stress.
"I'll handle it. She says easily, making me nervous. She's calm, too calm.
Trusting her, I carry Aiden with me to our shared bedroom, picking up Noah along the way. Carrying my two boys, I set them down gently in their respective bassinet and playpen. Turning the television on low, I watch without much interest as I stress about the most cumbersome situation at hand.
